Chapter - 28

It's been over an hour since Jimin is in the emergency room. All of us are sitting outside. With every passing minute it's getting harder for me to stay calm.
I felt a hand on my shoulder. It was Ji-young. I had so many questions to ask.
Before I could open my mouth she shook her head.

"I know what you are are about to say" she looked at me.
"But first don't worry about him. He's gonna be fine" she said and I nodded wanting to believe in her words. As much as I am happy to gain my memories, I don't want to loose Jimin again. Not in this birth.
I sighed.
"Tell me everything" I said and she nodded.

Flashback
Ji-young's pov

"I can't believe I am stuck here with the same office as Jack right after my graduation!" I let out my anger as I had to work with my brother.
I was enlisted after graduation by our mom saying that it would be much better than working for some company besides my brother already works here.

I sighed when my phone rang. It was an unknown number.
"Hello, inspector Ji-young speaking"
"I am Park Jimin" the other line said and I almost fell from my chair.
"H-how can I help you sir" I was still stunned he called me and he's my best friend's boyfriend but that bitch didn't mind to tell me.
"Well a murder might happen I need you to come there" he said.
"What are you talking about? A murder and how do you know about it?" I asked totally confused.
It's your dad he's about to kidnap me. "Listen carefully I am going to put a tracker on one of the man while pretending to fight. All you have to do is track down the location." I was shocked at the mention of my dad.

"How do you know it's my dad?" I asked even though it was filled with hatred. I never want to see my dad again he ruined out lives.
"The past is repeating itself Ji-na" he said to which I widen my eyes.
"How?"  so those dreams weren't just normal dreams it was my past life flashing.
"I know it sounds weird but I just know all of you including your brother Jackson who's now Jack and Jae-In whose still Jae-In" he said and I gasped.
"I don't have much time I am about to reach the point so do as I say please. If you want to save us this time" he said and hung up.

Author's pov

After listening to Ji-young you couldn't help but get teary again. Jimin used himself as a bait so that this time your murderer could get caught without risking your life.
Ji-young (Ji-na)  and everyone tried to console you while you apologized to Jack (Jackson) for doubting him. Jae-In looked at you confused all the time.
He looked for an opportunity to ask you but the doctor came out of the room making you rush towards him.

"Is Jimin okay?" you asked worriedly.
The doctor sighed. You felt heavy when he did that.
"Thankfully Mr. Park is okay but he needs bed rest for few months. He was tortured severely. To the point he was barely able to make it here. It's a miracle we were able to save him" he said. You felt happy and devastated at the same time. It's always him who has to be in danger because of you. No matter if it the past life or this one. Jimin was always the one ready to give his life away for you.

"Can I meet him?" you asked the doctor and he nodded.
You hurried towards the room with others following you.
As soon as you entered the room. You saw his body lying on the bed covered with bandages his head was okay but his face had so many bruises.
You made sure not to make much noise as you walked towards him but to your bad Jimin opened his eyes when you were right in front of him.

"Y/n" Jimin winced. This was the first name that came out of his mouth even after being seriously injured.
You sat on the stool beside his bed and held his hand gently making sure not to hurt him.
"Why? Why Jimin? You should've at least told me? Why did you do it all by yourself?" You asked feeling so much pain. You wanted to tell at him but couldn't because the sorrow was much stronger than the anger.
He closes his eyelids.
"I am sorry I worried you" he said without opening his mouth because he was talking to you with his thoughts.
You looked at him with wide eyes.
"Y-You have my ability now?" you replied back in thoughts to which he smiled nodding.

Wincing again as it still hurts to move any tissues on the face.
"Jae-In you remember it was the same last time but this time we have Y/n by our side" Jack said with a smile.
"Last time? What are you talking about?" Jae asked with confusion.
"You don't remember?" Jack said but Jae -In just frowned more.
"Guys I am going back with Jack. I got a missed call from the department sorry" she said and you nodded.
"No worries" you said and with a smile and both Jack and Ji-young hugged you like they used to do.
Jack saw Jimin glaring at him when he was hugging you so he quickly left.
It's just you, Jimin and Jae-In.

"You r-remember everything. H-How?'' Jimin asked with his best effort to talk despite the cut on his cheek
You stroked his hair gently and said.
"When I got call from him. I remembered everything second of my past self and how my life ended. How I ended yours" you said said the last line as a whisper but he heard it.

He took your hand and creased it as an action of comfort and said.
"It wasn't you fault. I choose to fall for you even after knowing the consequences and how you could've helped when I looked so handsome even now I am wrapped in bandages and I am still charming" he said forgetting the pain but made you giggle.

"I am surprised why Jae-In doesn't remember anything?" you looked at him.
"I have no idea what you are talking about" he looked at Jimin for a moment and their eyes met.
He broke the eyes contact immediately and said.
"I'll be back guys. You can have your lovey dovey time until then." he said and started to walk out."

Jae-In's pov

I turned to close the door when I saw Y/n kissing the top of Jimin's head. Both were smiling at each other.
I looked down and closed the door. As soon as I did I lost it. I can't control anymore.
I slid down the door and I knew I looked like a mess crying on the floor.
"H-How can I ever f-forget it. From my childhood until now. I remember everything including our past life." I cried but made sure no one would hear it.
"I-I am sorry to pretend but I can't h-help my feelings for you Y-Y/n. The m-memories still haunt me. I k-know you can't love me and it fucking hurts." Tears fell non stop but it was important for me.

I know our fate is twisted I know we aren't meant to be. The moments came flooding back to me the moment I first saw her along with my feelings.

It hurts to know that we can't be together and neither can I confess I think it's better this way that I pretend to not remember and move on.

I opened the door with a smile.
"Okay guys time to get Jimin home. I asked the doctor to arrange something in his house" I said and Y/n came running towards me. She hugged me which is more than I could ever ask for.
"Let's go Jimin" She said and asked some nurses to help him get in the car.
It was all done professionally so Jimin won't get hurt in any way.

"I was worried if he'll get to go home. Thanks Jae but how did you do that?" she asked.
"I have my ways" I winked and she laughed running to Jimin again.
I smiled looking at them.  It's okay it's totally okay that you are with someone else. As long as you are happy I don't want anything else.
