Chapter - 9

"Let's talk now, Ms. Kim."

Present :
I sighed as I looked at him and he was just staring at me without any expressions.
"What do you want to talk about? Wanna fire me? Go ahead." I said and he sighed.
"Listen, I am not going to fire you or anything." Meanie said and it took me by surprise.
"Why won't you?" I asked as I raised an eyebrow.
"Because what you did was right, you defended yourself." he said and I was a little touched actually. I know I shouldn't be but.
"Y-You aren't mad for what I said about you?" I was shocked by his sudden behavior.

"Well, what you said is not something I never heard." he said with a little sarcasm.
"Maybe because it was the truth after all." I said and he glared at me while I just shrugged.
"I didn't make you sit here to talk like that. I want you to stand for yourself no matter who is in front and being my personal assistant you won't have to worry about getting in trouble." he said and I blinked.
"Woah Woah wait for a second, why do you care if I get in trouble or not?" I asked getting up a little.
"Because I liked what you did earlier." Meanie smirked.

"What does that mean?" I was confused as I sat down again.
"I have a lot of people like Serah whom I don't really like and no one ever talked back to them so I would want you to continue doing that." he said.
"What I did earlier was because I personally don't like her." I said.
"I don't like her either." Meanie said as he looked at me with wide eyes.
"You seem close with her." I said.
"Aa don't even bring that up, she's a high school friend who is clinging every now and then." he said as he made a funny expression. He looked cute actually but I am not suppose to think like this, I hate him!

"Why are we even talking about her instead of working, I am leaving now." I said getting up.
"You are actually done for today, since my meetings are rescheduled so do the remaining and you can head back." He said and smiled for the first time and his smile is breathtaking.
"O-Okay sir." I bowed and went outside and I mentally cursed myself for stuttering in front of him.

Time skip - at home

"My dear daughter, how was you first day!?" Mom came running towards me as soon as I reached home.
"It was fine, Mom. What about the dinner." I asked as I was a little tired now.
"It's almost ready." Mom said and I nodded as I went to wash up.

After a few minutes I came to the dining room as everyone was ready to eat.
I sat down and they looked at me.
"How was the first day of the first job ever? Was it fun?" Oppa asked.
"I didn't had much to do since he scheduled his meetings for tomorrow." I said and started eating my food.
"Mr. Park?" Dad asked and I nodded.
"Is he a good person?" He asked and I remembered what we talked about in the office. Despite of our bad behavior towards each other, I have to say he is indeed a good person so I nodded.

After this we all talked a bit and laughed a bit more, just like how I liked our family to be. Mom was doing the dishes and due to exhaustion, I went straight towards the bed.

In no time it was morning and I had to leave for the office again. Time is flying so fast.

When I finally reached the office, Meanie was right behind my car so I ran as fast as I could.
"Ms. Kim!" I heard him shout and I stopped on my tracks.
"Where do you think you are running to?" he said and I smiled nervously.
"To my office, where else?" I said.
"Always so bold huh and why are you dressed in a skirt today? We have meetings to attend" he said and I scoffed.
"Sir, this is a formal skirt and the length is just perfect unlike most of your female employees." I said

"Whatever, let's go." Meanie said and I nodded, gotta follow my boss.
Everyone bowed as we entered and I felt glares at me as I was walking with him. He didn't let me walk behind him and that's the reason, he wants every female to hate me.
We entered the elevator and I actually let out the breath I was holding.
"I have to say one thing" He said and I looked at him.
"What is it?" I asked.
"You looked hot when you were cursing at Serah." he leaned in with a smirk and before I could say an the elevator opened.

He walked outside and I had to follow him. There was someone wrong with me, I was feeling a little strange all of a sudden.
"Ms. Kim, prepare for the meeting we'll have the first one with Mr. Jeon." he said and I nodded.
It took a long while to prepare a the files and information and set up for the meeting and it was already the time for meeting. We were finished on sharp 1 p.m and I sigh in relief.

"Ms. Kim is everything done?" Meanie asked. He gave me this tough task on purpose. His satisfied face says it all when he saw how tired I was.
"Yes, Mr. Park" I said trying to not to get mad.
"Good, follow me. We have to welcome Mr. Jeon" he said and I sulked but still followed.
On the entrance when the black cars stopped a guy came out of one of the most luxurious one in all black and cane towards us as he took his mask off. I was shocked to see him. He can't be the one for the meeting.

"He is my ex-boyfriend."
