Chapter 19

"So you're the one that escaped from behind that door" I said as I put my hand on the hilt of night blade. "Yes and I now have my own physical form but sadly it isn't your body but it will do for now" the demonic voice said. "Let's take this battle somewhere else. I would rather not endanger my parents' graves. That is my only request I'm going to make" I said in frustration. "Alright Zane I'll meet you just a mile south of here" the demonic voice said. I turned around and tried to ambush him. He was escaping but he was too quick and was able to get out. I quickly broke through the barrier I put up as I entered the cave and used shadow movement to get to the location I was told. The demon just stood there in the middle of a field looking up at the night sky. "I know you finally arrived. You may be able to trick everyone else with your shadow movement but not me" the demon said as I came out of the shadows. "I wasn't hiding nor was I looking for another way to ambush you. This fight will be fair and square between the two of us, no holding back. The first to die will lose" I said as I stood in a fighting stance. The demon turned around and the darkness surrounding him started forming into a sword. This left him showing his true form to me. What I saw finally made me realize why I was being haunted by this demon since the day my parents had been killed. "I see so you finally realized why I've been tormenting you for all these years. It's because I am you. I am the emotions that should have taken over after your parents' deaths" the demon said in a demonic tone. "Shall we begin?" I said in frustration. "Yes," the demon said as he charged me. I blocked his attack and quickly jumped over him, cutting into his shoulder a little. He just turned around and tried to attack me. Well, I was in the air. But I blocked that attack as well knowing he was trying to catch me off guard. "Dark night slash of the ages" I said as I attacked. He saw my attack coming and quickly dodged it knowing that he wouldn't be able to block it. '10,000 dark spikes' he said as he launched small dark spikes at me. "Black hole" I said as I covered my body in darkness that sped around me at speeds faster than he could ever imagine. I managed to block all the spikes and even counter attack with a night strike cutting off part of his right arm. He quickly regenerated his arm as if it was nothing more than a game to him. We started trading blows on one another trying to out maneuver the other. "Night blade I need you now" I said as I blocked an attack. "Alright Zane I'm here to help" I heard night blade say. I felt my magical power flowing even more through my body as if night blade was able to amplify my power. "Dark night slash of the ages" I said as I blocked an attack headed for me. "I see you got a power boost from your sword. I like that you were able to gain even more power. This will make our fight even more fun" the demon said as he dodged my attack. "Corrupted heart" the monster said as he launched a large heart made of darkness. I quickly chopped it in half, splitting it into causing the demon to become even more surprised by how much power I was exerting. "It looks like I don't need to hold back on my power. Dark overflow maximum power" the demon said as he released his darkness. "Night blade hear my voice and release your darkness within you" I said as darkness started pouring from my sword. "Dark stars of the night sky" the demon said as he created large dark spheres around him. He then launched them towards me at incredible speeds for how big they were. Even if I managed to cut them in half all it did was split them. I ended up making more of a problem for myself as they just split and created more spheres. "So this is why the future is the way it is. It's because I am unable to defeat you and you still control most of my power. So if I'm able to defeat you then I can change the future like the figure said. All I need to do is find a way to do so" I said as I dodged one of the spheres. "Good luck" the demon said as he called all the spheres towards him. All of them started combining into one and I realized what he was planning. "Dark energy" the demon said as he launched the sphere towards me. "Night blade release your darkness. Now for night strike 10,000 slashes" I said as I chopped the sphere into thousands of pieces. "Incredible you destroyed my attack but that won't last forever" the demon said as he charged another attack. "Night blade full power release. Dark flash" I said as I quickly moved behind him. He quickly turned around and blocked my attack. "You really think attacking me from behind is going to save you" the demon said as he launched his attack. I dodged his attack and kept looking for any sort of weakness he had. But every opening I would find would instantly vanish as if he could tell where I was going to strike. Well then if I can't find an opening then I'll just have to create one. "Dark stars" I said as I created large dark spheres. "You really think this attack is going to work on me" the demon said as he cut one of them in half. Just like he had done earlier every time he cut one all he would do is split them in two causing more to spread out around the battlefield. If this didn't create the opening I needed then I don't know what would.
