Chapter 30

As I opened my eyes I could see everyone else was asleep. Alex was holding Alyssa in his arms and Rylie laid in the corner with her back towards me. "Wake up you damn idiots" A monster said as he banged on the door of our cell. I quickly noticed that the door was slightly open and that the monster must not have realized his mistake. "Do you realize what the queen would do to us if she found out we were talking to the prisoners?" another voice said. "Oh shut up and let me handle her later. Besides, she would agree with me if I just killed them now and put them out of their misery" the monster said as he put his hand on the door and began to open it. I noticed my chance and put my hand on the hilt of my Ax as he opened the door. As he entered I took my chance and swung at him, chopping off his foot and causing him to fall forward. This awoke the others and they noticed that we had finally been given an opportunity to escape. Alex quickly stabbed the monster in the throat to prevent him from talking well. I got ready to take his head off. Then I struck and killed him in the blink of an eye and watched as his blood flowed all over the ground. "We finally can escape but how are we going to take on coda's? We barely have any strength left" Alyssa said in a whisper. "We've done the impossible before I believe that we can do it again" I said in a whisper as I exited the room. Once I was out I could feel my magical power flowing through my body again. Then a monster noticed me and realized that I had escaped and tried to call for backup. But I quickly silenced him so that he wouldn't alert the others we had escaped. "Come on we have a chance to escape" I whispered as I looked back into the cell. All but Rylie had exited and she still laid on the ground asleep. So I picked her up and carried her on my back so that way she wouldn't be left behind. "Now we just need to find a way out without alerting any monsters" I whispered as I ran down the hall. The other two followed me and thankfully we hadn't been discovered missing as I feared the worse with Rylie still asleep.

"Dark night slash of the ages" I said as I cut her in half. "Shock wave" she said as she sent electricity towards me. This caused me to go flying as I did my best to try and ground myself with my darkness. "Enjoy your flight little brat" she said as I landed on the ground. "Night strike" I said as I launched it towards her. She dodged the attack and expected me to follow up by an onslaught of attacks. But that wasn't my plan. My plan was to get her to teleport back to their base of operation. That's when I would strike and teleport along with her allowing me to gain access to every monster at once. Then my plan could finally take full effect where I would allow for my darkover flow full control and kill every monster in mere moments of being there. This would only leave two monsters alive. Kamion and the monster queen then I would torture them to death and make them suffer for all the pain and suffering they've caused me and my comrades. "Shadow wolves" I said as dark wolves started biting her legs and arms. "Shock wave" She said as another shock wave sent my wolves flying. "Flying force," Ventra said as he tried to punch me in the stomach. But I was too quick and I cut off his arm preventing him from attacking me any further. "Did you really think you would be able to kill me that easily?" I said as I cut off his other arm. "You little brat," Ventra said as he regenerated his arms. "Shockwave," Kokumora said as she sent me flying dozens of feet. I was truly at my wits end and was fighting one of the hardest battles of my life. After eight years and thousands of battles I've finally met my match. "Crushing bubble" A voice said as Ventra and Kokumora were trapped inside a forcefield and began being crushed. I turned my head with anger in my eyes as I knew it was Kara that was here to help me. "I told you to stay back at base Kara you have no chance of defeating a coda" I said in frustration. "Please Zane let me show you that I can help and be of use to you" Kara said as Ventra broke the force field. "Watch out" I said as I blocked an attack headed for her. It was a direct hit and I fell to the ground in pain as I tried to stand up. "He truly was about to kill the both of us. If only you hadn't tried to save him, maybe the two of us would be dead right now" Ventra said as he pushed me down with his foot. "Force field of containment, '' Kara said as she tried to trap him in a prison. Kokumora just blocked the attack and sent her flying with her shockwave. "Black hole Annelation'' I said as I spun my darkness around me and Ventra. He was cut thousands of times in mere seconds but didn't even move or flinch as his blood poured out of him like a river. "Alright Ventra, leave the kill to me because we know the queen would kill you if you got it, '' Kokumora said as she walked up to me and Ventra. "As you wish princess Kokumora as that was my intent from the start? '' Ventra said as he picked me up and held me in front of her. "Goodbye Zane Destiny if only you were a monster like me and Ventra as I believe you and I would make the most powerful monster couple in history" Kokumora said as she charged a ball of electricity.
