Description: love is something we all deserve even if we feel like we don't. Regulus gets indulged in a world full of fictional characters and stories (can't relate) he only wishes he could be apart of.

Regulus' visits to the Gryffindor common room, where he would read, had become James' favourite pastime, the overwhelming curiosity of what lay in those books and the things they contained which got Regulus Black to indulge in them everyday.
Regulus frequented the Gryffindor common room often, he had access since Sirius was his brother and Professor McGonagal knew about his home life, she felt it was important to maintain the bond he had with his sibling, "you must understand Regulus, nothing is stronger than a brotherly bond, it is the type that is unbreakable even in our darkest times".
Regulus had found himself acquainted with a small armchair near the fireplace, he found himself sitting in that arm chair during many nights and days, especially days of which he wasn't feeling particularly comfortable in his own dorm. It was the same arm chair he would find himself sitting in when James Potter approached him one night.

James had come downstairs from the bedroom, he had been having restless sleeps and sometimes just needed to step out of the cramped room he shared with his friends.
As he walked down the stairs he heard the fire crackle and a small hum coming from the living space, he knew the voice and leaned against the door frame, watching Regulus smile down at the pages. James had always been curious about Regulus' books, what made them so interesting?.
Regulus put his hand on his chest in shock as James quietly walked over, lying down on the armchairs' matching couch.
"Merlin James you scared me!"
"Sorry I wanted to be quiet so I didn't wake the others, what are you still doing here?"
Regulus put the bookmark in and placed it on the coffee table, "reading, it's a lot more peaceful in here at night than in the Slytherin common room. What are you doing here?"
James sat his head up slightly so Regulus could see him, "can't sleep"
James rolled his head and looked at the book on the coffee table, it had an interesting cover and he could tell it was worn, perhaps a book Regulus had kept and read multiple times.
"What are you reading?"
"I didn't think you'd care for books Potter?"
"It might interest me you never know" he smiled back
"Alright. It's a love story, enemies to lovers" Regulus looked at the fireplace not wanting James to see him feel judged about a book.
"Right, so what's happening in it?"
"Well I'm never going to find out if you keep talking to me, am I?"
"I suppose you're right, read it out loud" he paused not wanting to sound demanding or desperate, "maybe it'll help me sleep"
Regulus was cautious at first, despite his appearance he was a sucker for a good romance and part of him wished he could live out one of the fairytales he had read so many times. In the end he decided to read it though, James was tired and would probably forget this whole interaction as soon as he woke up again.
Regulus moved over to the couch and James got up, laying his head on Regulus' lap, listening to his words. Regulus removed the bookmark and started reading the passage aloud,
"Cirilla's eyes opened as Sebastian removed his hands, the bridge had candlelight's on each side and petals floating through the water around it. The two moved together, Cirilla taking in the world around her while Sebastian watched her eyes light up. They arrived at the small island in the center of the lake, a large willow thriving in the middle, it's leaves almost creating a roof over the sprawled out picnic mat. The branches were decorated in lanterns and lights, Cirilla smelt the food coming from the mat, warm breads and sparkling drinks"
