I had changed and was ready to go meet Serkan on his plane. I grabbed my stuff and headed out the door. I didn't come very far though as I bumped into something hard. I nearly fell, but someone steadied me. I looked up and saw Serkan. "Serkan? What are you doing here? Aren't you going to Paris?" "I was, but I couldn't go". "Why?" "Because I don't want to go without you". I smile at him. "I was actually on my way to see you". "You were, why?" He says smiling at me. "I wanted to come with you to Paris". "Does that mean everything is sorted out?" "Not really" I laugh. "But I didn't want it to dictate my life. Not anymore. So I wanted to leave all my fears and doubts here and go to Paris with you. To start fresh. But now you've kind of ruined my surprise" I laugh at him. He laughs too. "But I still have one surprise left". He looks at me questioningly. I grab something from the bag. He looks at me confused. "Just wait a second" I say as I get down slowly on one knee. Hard to do when you're pregnant it turns out. "Eda, what are you doing?" He says surprised. "Serkan. Will you marry me?" "Eda, I think I'm supposed to be doing this". "Serkan. Don't let your male pride ruin this, okay?" I laugh. He laughs too. "Yes. Of course I'll marry you". We both smile at each other. "I hate to ruin the moment, but I can't really get up". He laughs and gets me back onto my feet. The moment he does I kiss him. We take the rings and put them on one another. We spent the rest of the night together and talking of our future together.

The next day...

After spending an amazing night together, we had to return to reality. Serkan was looking forward to it, since he wanted everyone to know we were together again. "Serkan. You've got to stop smiling" I told him on our way to the office. "I can't help it. I'm just really happy. I got everything I wanted". "You did?" "Yes. You and our child are all I ever wanted. And maybe a few more children in the future". "And that's all you want? Nothing that has to do with work?" "No, nothing work-related. Although I do want a different proposal story". "What?" I hit him. "Didn't you like that I did it". "Yes, but what do I tell our children?" "That mummy had more balls then daddy". We both laugh. "Well, if I remember correctly, I was the one who proposed first. Twice even". "Well if you want to tell either of those stories to our children, you can. So which one do you prefer? The fake engagement or the engagement where you got arrested?" He laughs. "Okay, fair point. I think we're going to go with your version". I laugh.

When we arrive at the office, Serkan and I walk in together holding hands. Everyone in the office looks shocked. "What's going on?" Engin asked. "Well Eda, do you want to tell them or shall I?" "You can tell them". "Okay. So everyone, Eda and I wanted to tell you that we're getting married". Everyone in the office starts clapping and cheering, except for Selin. She looks furious. "Now, back to work everyone". Serkan walks with me to my desk. "Are you sure you don't want to work next to me?" He asks. "Yes. Otherwise neither one of us, is going to get anything done". "Okay. Don't go too far though". "I won't". He kisses my forehead and walks away. Selin comes up to me immediately. "So how did you do it?" "How did I do what?" "How did you get him to fall for you again?" "Well, that's easy. I wasn't a liar. You should try it sometime". She scoffs and walks away. Bitch.

The next morning...

I woke up in Serkan's arms and sigh happily. I wish things would stay like this forever. I move to get up, but Serkan pulls me back. "No, not yet". "We have to. There's a lot to do, today". "No. I think we deserve a little alone time after last night". Last night we had a party where Serkan asked for my hand. It was a very confusing night. "Have you finally recovered from the salt in your coffee?" "That was disgusting. But I do it all for you". He kisses me and I immediately get lost in it. He's about to take my top off, when the door opens and we hear people scream. In the doorway are my aunt and his mother. I immediately feel embarrassed. "Eda, you have to come with me. We've to buy the stuff for the dowry". "Yes. And Serkan you're going to come with me for the same thing as well". "Anne, you and Eda's aunt can take care of that stuff, while we spent the day together. "No. You're not allowed to see each other anymore until the wedding". "What?" We both say in unison. "yes, your grandmother is insisting we follow the old traditions". "Aunt, I think we already broke traditions. We are having a baby for crying out loud". "I know, but your grandmother insisted. So just do it, let's not fight anymore. "Fine". I kiss Serkan and go with my aunt. I spent the rest of the day just cleaning and feeling bored. When we opened the gifts, it turned out that we were missing the sugar, so I had to see Serkan.

At the office...

I went to the office to find Serkan, because he wasn't answering his phone. I walked into the boardroom and saw him working on his computer. "Serkan. Why aren't you answering? I've been calling you". "I was just focusing on work. What's going on? I thought we couldn't see each other until the wedding". "We couldn't. We can't, but I needed to talk to you and you weren't answering". "Okay, what's going on". "You forgot to include sugar in the dowry and we really need it. My aunt is really upset". "We must have forgotten it". "Did you buy it". He doesn't answer me. "Serkan?" "I didn't buy anything myself". I sigh. "Serkan". "I was busy and I let people in the office do it and someone must have messed up". I sighed. "Can you please just fix it? Please?' "Yes. I'll make sure it gets worked out". "Thank you". "Now come over here, so I can take advantage of this situation". I smile and I walk over to him. He drags me down onto his lap and kisses me. Eventually I pull myself away before I get too distracted. I tell him goodbye and make my way out of the office. Unfortunately I bump into Selin. I walk past her, but she stops me. "Eda? Can I talk to you for a minute?" I turn around and look at her. "If you must". "I want to apologize for my behavior towards you and Serkan. I was still in love with him and I should've realized sooner that he doesn't love me, but you. I want to make amends really. I don't want to lose this job, I love it. So please forgive me. Please". I look at her questioningly. "I don't know". "Please. Please let me come to your henna party tonight. Please". I think it over and sigh. "Fine. You can come". "Great! Thank you Eda". "You're welcome".

At the henna party...

I was having an amazing time at my henna party and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I was dancing, but I did need to stop a few times, because of the baby. Eventually we all sat down and Selin came to distribute the drinks. They were really good and in no time we had all finished them. After 10 minutes everyone seemed to be feeling tired as several people had fallen asleep. I too began to feel bad. I put a hand on my head. Everything felt fuzzy. I could hear my phone going off and I grabbed. "Hello" I sigh tiredly. "Eda? Are you okay". I can hear that it's Serkan. "Serkan..." But I can't say anything else. I can feel myself slowly slipping away, but not before seeing two men standing above me.
