The next day...

After I saw Serkan and Selin I couldn't stay there. I immediately left afterwards. I could hear Serkan calling my name, but I refused to turn around. I can't believe I wanted to tell him of my feelings for him. It's just better if we stay in the friend zone, so we can become the best parents for our child. I had arrived at work and of course Serkan immediately pulls me into his office. "What do you want, Serkan? I have work to do" I tell him coldly. "Can we talk about last night?" I cross my arms over each other and look at him narrowing my eyes. "Please" he asks desperately. "Fine" I sigh. "Selin was at my apartment last night for work". "Why? She doesn't work here anymore". "She does". I look at him questioningly. "For the time being". "Why? Didn't you agree that it was better if she left, after all she has done to us?" "We did, but we really need someone good to handle PR and we haven't found someone like that yet". "The applicants from yesterday were fine. You just don't want to let her go". "Eda, that's ridiculous". "Really? Is it? Because she's still in love with you". "Eda, she's not still in love with me". "She is. You're just to blind to see it". "Okay, let's say that I'm blind. Are you willing to bet on that, Eda?" "100%. What is the bet?" "If you can prove she's still in love with me, I'll fire her immediately and let you pick out a replacement". "And if I can't?" "Then you'll have to go on a date with me". I think it over. Can I do this? "Don't tell me you're a chicken Eda?" "Fine. Let's do the bet. But know that you're going to lose Serkan Bolat". "I don't think so Eda Yildiz".

Serkan invited me to lunch with him and Selin. He obviously just did it as a ploy for the bet. "Serkan do you remember our Valentine's day of last year. We went to Paris and we had So Much Fun" Selin said. I looked at Serkan with narrowed eyes and he just stared back at me awkwardly. I had totally forgotten that it was Valentine's day. "Uhm..I don't really remember". "How can you not remember Serkan?! We spent the day at the Louvre, we ate dinner in the Eiffel tower and spent the night in the hot tub. You must remember!" She says as she put her arm on his. I look at Serkan again and try to signal to him. He looks confused at me. I drop a knife and Serkan and I both bent to pick it. "Don't you see?" I whisper. "She's totally in love with you". "Eda, you're exaggerating. She's just trying to make conversation". He picks up the knife and puts it back on the table. "So, Selin. Why did you decide to come back to ART Life?" "Well, I missed everyone of course and I wanted to do this right this time". "Do things right?" "Yes. This time I don't want work to be my number one priority. I want it to come second". "Second to what?" "To love". I look at her in shock. I kick Serkan under the table to get his attention, but he just keeps looking at me dumbfounded. "And what would you do for this love Selin?" "For this love, I would destroy anything that came in its way". I look at her with narrowed eyes and then back at Serkan. "Okay Serkan if you're not going to say anything, I'm going to leave" I say as I get up. "Eda, don't leave" Serkan says as he gets up too. "I'm not going to spend another minute with the woman who almost cost us our baby and the man who seems to have forgotten that. Goodbye" and with that I walk away.

That next day...

After arriving at work Serkan immediately went to explain himself, but I didn't want to hear it. I was done with his excuses. So I told him that Melo and I had to go do something. That got me away from him. "What are we doing here, Eda?" Melo asked. I had taken her to vacant house. "Efe asked me to arrange this house for his partner. He's coming to town soon, so we can finally meet him. So he asked me to make sure this house was in order for him". As we check the house Melo keeps asking questions about Serkan. More specifically about Serkan and Selin. "I don't want to talk about it anymore, Melo. I'm so tired of all of it" I say as I sit down on one of the couches rubbing my belly. "But you love him, Eda. Don't you want to fight for him?" "I don't think I have it in me to fight for him. He has hurt me so many times". "But he loves you". "I don't think so Melo. I think he's in love with Selin. He is even having lunch with her as we speak". "He is?" "Yes. At that Chinese place downtown". "Let's go over there". "Melo?! What are you saying? We can't go over there". "Yes we will Eda. So I can show you once and for all that Serkan loves you".

At the restaurant...

Instead of just spying on them, Melo decided to take a step further as she drags me into the restaurant with her. She immediately walks over to Serkan and Selin's table. "Serkan, Selin, what a coincidence that you're here too!" Melo says. "Yes, what a coincidence" Selin says with narrowed eyes. "Do you mind if we join you?" "Well, actually now is not..." Selin starts. "Oh great! Let's sit down". Melo sits down next to Selin and this forces me to sit next to Serkan. Quite quickly Melo fakes not feeling good and asks Selin to take her home. "Why can't Eda do it?" "Because...because...Because she can't drive" Melo says slowly. I look at her with wide eyes. How is Selin going to believe that. "That isn't right. I've seen Eda drive before in that car of hers" she says with disgust. "Well, she isn't allowed to drive anymore. Because of the baby". Selin sighs and looks angry, but does get up to take Melo, but not before saying goodbye to Serkan and only Serkan. "So now that we're alone, do you want to tell me why you're really here?" "I just wanted to have lunch". "I'm sure you did and this doesn't have anything to do with the fact that you're jealous" he says as he puts my hair over one shoulder. "Of course not. Don't be ridiculous". "Because you don't have any feelings for me, right Eda?" He asks as his mouth ghosts over my neck. "I do....n't. I mean I don't". "Off course not" he slowly starts kissing my neck. "And you're not all affected by this, right?" It's becoming hard to think, but then I think of Selin. I push him away. "I can't have any feelings for you". "Why not?" "What do you mean why not? You can't even see what's right in front of you. Selin is manipulating you and you are falling right into her trap. You believe her over me. You choose her over me and even over our unborn son. I can't love that". I get up and walk away.

That evening...

Melo asked me to meet her at the park. I didn't really feel like going out, but some distraction would be good. My mind was constantly going to Serkan. Ugh, if only I could get him out of my mind. When I arrive at the spot where she wanted me to meet, I see Serkan. "What are you doing here?" I ask him questioningly. "Don't be mad, but I asked Melo to lure you here". I sigh angrily. "Why? Do you want me to go on another date with you and Selin". "I want to make amends Eda. And explain myself to you". "Explain what?" "The truth. You think me meeting with Selin and not firing her and not defending you is because I'm in love with her, but I'm not. The only person I'm in love with is you". He takes my hands in his. "I'm only meeting with Selin and keeping her close, because I want to know what she's up to. I want to know what her plans are, because I know she's up to something". I look up at him in shock. "What? Were you just pretending the whole time". "Yes". "So you knew I couldn't win the bet" I smile at him. "Yes". "That's not fair, Serkan. That's not an equal bet". "Well, I thought it was. I'm getting rid of Selin, just not in your way, so technically I'm doing what you wanted. And for that I think you owe me a date" he says as he smiles at me. I laugh and roll my eyes. "Fine". He takes my hand and pulls it down onto the picknick blanket. "Look up" he says. I do and I see the most beautiful sky. Together we watch the stars. "This view is beautiful". "Yes. Yes it is". I turn towards him and see him looking at me. I blush. "This is the most beautiful view and I want to see it everyday" he says whilst still looking at me. I can't take it any longer and I lean forward and put my lips on his. He immediately wraps his arms around me and deepens the kiss. After a few minutes he pulls away. "Please tell me you forgive me, Eda. I can't bear another second with you resenting me". "I don't resent you Serkan and I never have. I just love you". He looks at me in shock and then a smile forms on his face. He kisses me again. "I love you too. So much". I pull his lips down on me again and I feel him smile into the kiss. "Does this mean you will be my girlfriend again?" "Yes. I'll be your girlfriend again". We spend the rest of the night watching the stars and kissing and talking.
