Michael had managed to survive the week, but he was fired due to "Tampering with animatronics."
By the end of the year, Freddy's closed down, and the animatronics were left to rot. Lefty, had been taken away, and all they could do was sit there and watch.
It broke their hearts, despite them being already broken.
Moments turned into minutes, minutes turned into hours, hours turned into days, days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, months turned into years, and on and on.
No one was keeping count of the time. They never knew when it was night or day. Construction workers had come by and built around the old restaurant.
The building seemed to stretch endlessly in a sense they couldn't understand.
The kids had grown quiet. What was their to talk about? It had been years and years since any of them had seen a human. Since any of them had seen the light of the sun glow.
Most of the time, they just stood on their stages silently. They used to hate having to be still and perform the same songs every day for children who couldn't even begin to imagine their pain. But sitting in a cold, dark, abandoned restaurant. No longer serving any purpose in this cruel world.
But all that was about to change.
She stood on her stage silently, appearing lifeless to anyone who crossed her path. She felt herself beginning to rest. It was a nice feeling. It had been so long since she slept.
She heard movement and she glanced through the doorway.
