Foxina hopped onto the stage and peeked behind the curtain. Jacob was laying unconscious on the ground, a wound in his ankle from where foxy hooked him.
She reached down to feel his pulse. He was still alive.
"Why'd you do this?" She asked, not looking up from the boy.
"I swear I wasn't trying to! But I got stuck in the control room doorway and it was the only way I could get him out! I wasn't trying to hurt him-"
"I know. I'm not mad."
Jacob began to cough.
"Fritz, he's waking up! Don't scare him." She held her hand up to him.
She picked Jason up and began to stroke his head.
"Wake up, sleepy head." She lightly tapped his forehead.
"W- wha?" He coughed.
"I'm sorry. I think we got off on the wrong foot. My name's Foxina. And you're Jason, right?"
He gulped, nodding.
"Alright. I promise we won't hurt you. My friends aren't quite as aware as I am. But they don't want to hurt you, I promise. They're trying to protect you." She explained.
"From what?" He whispered so quietly it was barely audible.
She shook her head.
"It's best I don't get into it. They don't even like it when I say his name. But, hey? Wanna know a secret?" She giggled.
He nodded, intrigued.
"My real names not Foxina. I think you're ok. So, you can call me Lori." Fritz placed a hand on her shoulder.
Jason scrambled out of her arms.
"Are you... are you the missing kids?" His eyes widened.
"Oh, the missing kids incident is a myth. A rumor. Those kids don't exist. It's made up to give the company a bad name."
"What? No, it's not." He glared at her.
"Jason?"
"Jason!"
His older sister and Lamar were calling for him. He wrapped the bottom of the curtain around foxy's ankle and pulled as hard as he could, tripping him and pulling him down.
He made a break for it but Foxina grabbed his collar and pulled him back. He froze, too scared to move.
"Tell me, what do you know about this... Charlie character?" She whispered.
"Ch- Charlie? She's my sister's friend. That's all I know." He said faster than she anticipated.
"Of course he doesn't know, you idiot! If the thing itself doesn't even know what it is, surely no one else knows. Except Henry... I have to find him. I doubt Jason will know him."
"Don't tell them what I told you." She whispered and let him go. He immediately ran away and screamed for his sister.
She unwrapped foxy's leg and helped him up.
"Sometimes they don't come around, Yknow?" She whispered and he nodded.
She peeked out of the curtains. No one was on the stage.
"Gabriel is gone. I'm going to look for that Charlie. You'll be ok, right?"
He nodded.
She walked to the kitchen where she heard them.
"I can hear your breathing~" She sang out.
Gabriel stood on the other side of the kitchen. She bent down and searched under the tables. She spotted them huddled under one. And they spotted her.
