After Scourge got defeated as the Dark King by Excalibur Sonic, the latter flew back to the balcony of the royal bedroom, where he met us with his friends and reverted back to his normal form, while Excalibur remained the same, just not in his full potential.
"You did it, Sonic!" Knuckles exclaimed. "You defeated Scourge!" Nebula said, "Now we won't hear from that perverted King ever again!"
"Yeah, but I would've been dead if Amy didn't break that poison's effect." Sonic said as he looked at Amy, "Amy, I want to thank you for saving me from the poison." "Your welcome, Sonic." Amy said, " I couldn't bear to see you die like that. You've got a lot of things to do in your life." "I know." Sonic said. "Amy, I see now that you are my true love. And I love you." "Oh, Sonic. I love you too." Amy said. Then, they both leaned their heads into each other, then they close their eyes as their lips meet for a real first kiss.
"Such a beautiful romantic moment." Excalibur/Caliburn said. "I'll say." Sally said, "So, you're the legendary sword Excalibur?" "That is correct." Caliburn said, "However, when my true power isn't awoken, I am simply called 'Caliburn'." "I see." Knuckles said.
After Sonic and Amy broke the kiss, they looked into each other's eyes that are now filled with true love. Then, Sonic said, "Amy, since I'm going to be king in a few weeks, will you be my queen?" "I would love to, Sonic." Amy said.
But then, they heard a grunting sound coming from the stone fence, and when everyone turned to the fence, they saw a weakened Scourge climbing up, and barely getting his head over. "You..... may have..... beaten..... me up....... but when..... I get...... my strength back...... I will....... kill all of you!" Scourge threatened. "Not this time, Scourge." Sonic argued, "I suggest you look down..." Then, Scourge looked down, and saw the giant lava pit underneath himself, then he gasped and said in fear, "W-W-W-What are you g-g-g-g-going to do? Drop me in there?"
"As a matter of fact...." Sonic replied, "As punishment for kidnapping my future Queen, attempted muder on me, and for trying to conquer the world, I sentence you to death by lava!" And with that, Sonic grabbed Scourge's wrists, then he held him over the pit, with the latter squirming in fear, "No! No! No! No! No! No! No!" Then, Sonic let go of Scourge's wrists, causing him to fall towards the lava pit, while screaming, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", and once he landed in it, Scourge sank and burned to his demise.
"Now he's gone." Tails said, watching Scourge's death. "There's no way he could survive a fall like that." Blaze said while holding the now destroyed necklace pendant, "besides, the necklace is permanently destroyed."
"Yes. Oh, finally! I don't have to work for that evil king anymore!" Tikal said, now freed from being a slave. "Tikal, would you like to live in our kingdom?" Sonic offered. "I would be honored, my lord." Tikal said as she curtsied in front of Sonic.
"Alright, well in that case.... everyone, let's head home!" Sonic said, and everyone shouted, "Yeah!" And with that, everyone left the castle and started heading home.
Along the way back to the United Kingdoms of Mobius, while Sonic and Amy accepted their romantic feelings for each other, everyone else, minus Tikal and Caliburn, realized their true feelings for each other.
"Hey, Nebula?" Shadow said. "Yeah, Shadow? Is something wrong?" Nebula asked. "Well, I just wanted to say that..... I love you." Shadow said, and it shocked Nebula a bit, then she said, "Well, I'll be honest, I love you too." And then they both smile at each other.
"Hey, Cream?" Tails said. "Yeah, Tails?" Cream asked. "I wanted to tell you this, but..... I think I'm in love with you." Tails said, and Cream got surprised by it, who then said, "Oh, Tails, I felt the same as you, and I've also fallen in love with you."
"Hey, Knuckles, can I tell you something?" Rouge asked Knuckles, who then said, "What is it, Rouge?" "Well, I think I love you." Rouge said. "You know something, Rouge? I actually love you." Knuckle said, and Rouge gasped at this. "Are you kidding me?" "I'm being honest and serious, Rouge." Knuckles said, then they both smile.
"Uh.... hey, Blaze?" Silver said to Blaze, who then asked, "What's going on, Silver?" "Well..... I told your parents this, but..... I think I'm falling in love with you." Silver answered, and this shocked Blaze, who then said, "You felt the same as me?!" "Are you saying that you fell in love with me as well?" Silver asked. "Yes. I have fallen in love with you." Blaze answered. Then they both smile.
"This is so beautiful, Sonikku." Amy said to Sonic, calling him by a pet name made up by her. "Yeah, it is, Ames." Sonic said to Amy, while also calling her by a pet name made up by him, "Seems like we aren't the only ones who developed feelings for each other."
"I should say so, your highness." Caliburn said, "Although, your three of your royal friends are in love with maids, while the other is in love with a knight. But at least Princess Sally is in love with a Prince." "Yes, and Khan and I have been together for about 3 years now." Sally said. "Yeah, and I can see the kingdoms from here!" Khan said. Then, everyone looke ahead to see all 6 castles in their forward view.
"Come on, guys!" Sonic declared, "Time for a royal welcoming home celebration!" And with that, they all walked towards the kingdoms.
