Zenitsu Agatsuma x Female Reader

"Zenitsu, watch out!" you called as you ran to the blonde's side, blocking him from an attack with you sword. He was asleep so you knew he couldn't hear you so you smiled when you realized he wasn't hurt.
As the battle went on though, you all did end up getting severely injured. Tanjiro had his face cut quite badly, Inosuke's torso was bleeding in multiple places, you were sure you had a broken rib or two and Zenitsu....
Well....
Let's just say he woke up at the wrong time.
"Y/N-CHAAAAAAAAN!!!!! SAVE ME!! THE DEMON'S GONNA SUCK MY BRAINS OUT!!!!" he cried and clung to your torso.
You winced at his touch, "Zenitsu, I'm trying as hard as I can!" you snapped.
"I'm sorry, its just that. I don't wanna die and leave you," he whimpered, snot dripping from his nose. "I don't wanna leave the love of my life."
You sighed. "That's sweet but can we please focus on the task at hand?"
"DAMN IT YOU TWO!!!!" Inosuke hollered from his post. "STOP BEING ALL LOVEY-DOVEY WITH (*insert name mispronunciation*) AND KICK THE DEMON'S ASS ALREADY!!!!"
"I'M TRYING!!!" you hollered back.

It was a few minutes before you finally defeated the demon, with a little help from the sun. "Finally!" you cried and dropped to the floor.
"You did well," Tanjiro told everyone. You all made your way back to the Butterfly Mansion. As you were in your room resting, Zenitsu who had recovered quickly was bringing you some [insert favorite food] to help you feel better.
But as he was walking he heard some Kakushi talking nearby.
"Have you heard about the Kinoe ranked Slayer?" one spoke.
"You mean L/N Y/N?"
"Yeah, she's actually very attractive."
"One of the best looking Slayers I've seen."
"Do you think she has a boyfriend?"
"She's with that crybaby loser blonde!"
"She could do so much better."
"Yeah, I actually feel sorry for her."
"They say he's powerful too y'know."
"Yeah right! I bet he kills demons by annoying them to death!"
They burst out in laughter. Zenitsu, having heard everything, got deeply hurt by their words. Still, he continued to walk to your room, thoughts swirling in his head.
Is what they said... all true? I mean yeah, Y/n is good looking but there's so much more to that. But I guess they're right. She really is Out Of My League. She could do so much better than little ol' me.
Before he knew it, he was at your door. He knocked and entered to see you on your bed sitting up. When you saw him you lit up!
"Zenitsu! I missed you so much! Are you feeling better?" you asked, smiling.
He sighed, "Yes, Y/n, I'm fine, thank you."
You furrowed your brows, "Why are you being so formal Zen?"
Without answering, he place your food on the bedside table. "I brought this for you to help you feel better," he said. "Eat it whenever you feel like okay?"
Now you were really confused. By this time he would be clinging onto you for dear life, crying about how he thought you were going to die. Then he'd beg you to let him feed you. He was about to leave when you stopped him.
"Agatsuma Zenitsu."
He froze then turned round? "Yes, Y/n?" he answered blankly.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" you asked gently, knowing a stern tone would scare him. "You don't seem like yourself anymore. Did anyone do anything to you?" You suddenly grew angry. "Tell me who it was! I'll get Inosuke to....."
"No one did anything Y/n" he stopped you. "It's just that...." The blonde sighed and went to sit beside you. "Y/n?"
"Hmm?" you hummed in response
"Do you... think I'm.... not good enough for you?" he asked, tears welling in your eyes.
You were beyond shocked. "Wh-what!? No! Of coarse not! Who made you think that!?!?" you yelled and jumped from the bed. "I'll deal with them! INOS....."
"No, Y/n." He stopped you again. "It's just that," he took a deep breath.
"Y/n, you're beautiful! Gorgeous in fact! And I don't just mean looks, you're a little dark sometimes but you're heart is one of the purest ones ever! Anyone would be the luckiest man alive to have you as a girlfriend. I just feel like you don't deserve someone as pathetic as me. You can do better, I know you can."
At this point you weren't confused anymore. You were angry! Angry at the son of a biscuit who made your little ball of clingy sunshine feel this way!
You glared at him, your E/c orbs boring into his golden ones and spoke."Agatsuma Zenitsu. You listen to me. You are the best person in my whole universe. You are My Universe. And there's nothing I love more than putting you first! I love you with every last bit of me and the fact that you're second guessing that actually saddens me.
No one can make me happy the way do. No one can hug me for 2 hours straight just because I was a little put off. No one can make my sun shine even on the darkest days like you. The fact that you think I don't deserve you it.... it....
KAMI SO HELP ME I WILL GET INOSUKE TO SLAUGHTER THE PEOPLE WHO MADE YOU FEEL THAT WAY!!!"
Zenitsu laughed lightly. You looked so cute when you're upset. Just then, before he knew it, you tackled him in a hug. You were the big spoon for the first time but he wasn't complaining. He quite enjoyed it, actually.
"Don't you ever think I'll ever stop loving you. You're the one who's out of my league."
When you were sure he was too drowsy to reason you asked, "So who exactly made you think that, huh?" in a gentle voice.
"Some Kakushi in another room, whatever," he mumbled.
"I see..... Inosuke!!..."
........
Let's just say those Kakushi never talked painlessly ever, ever again.
