Second Part of: Need You Now

"Y/n? Dear? Y/n, can you hear me?"
You were gently tapped out of your daydream by your new husband. You blinked, coming back to reality before smiling. "Sorry, Yoriichi, were you saying something?"
He smiled back. "I was just telling you about how you need to assign swordsmiths to some new Demon Slayers. The current Final Selection just ended, after all."
"Right! Right, I'll get to that now," you replied, focusing on the task at hand. You sorted through stacks of paper, memorized a ton of names and randomly matched Swordsmiths to Slayers for a good hour before your attention span finally reached its end.
"Hotaru got complained about by another Slayer. It's the third one just this year. Let's see. How about......The sky.... Its a different shade of blue than before.... Could it be very thin clouds are covering it and making it look darker? Or maybe its actually this color but I only ever look at it when its another shade? I really should look at the sky more often. It's just so blue and serene and...."
"Dear."
Yoriichi woke you up again. You slapped yourself. "Right!! Kamado! Hotaru will be Kamado's Swordsmtih! Kozo for Hashibira..... And for Agatsuma....uhh..."
"Kotetsu." Yoriichi pointed at the name you were looking for on your list.
"Kotetsu! Yes!" With that, you dropped your pen and fell limp against your desk. "Being Chieftess is hard!" you cried, earning a chuckle from your husband.
"I thought you trained for it your whole life."
"I was taught about it my whole life," you corrected him. "Doesn't mean I actually learnt anything or took my training seriously."
"Knowing you, Y/n, you were probably daydreaming the whole time," Yoriichi said. "It seems that's all you do."
"It is not!" you pouted and whined. "It's not all I do... I just do it almost all the time!"
"Difference?"
"Yea! A big one! Y'know, you...." You started trying to explain but the words left you so all you did was make weird gestures with your hands and move your mouth. "Y.... Y'know!!"
The maroonette simply laughed. "I know, Dear."
You sighed, knowing you didn't make an ounce of sense. But part of you was relieved you didn't. You whole life was scripted and planned out. You always had default answers to every single question and request. Not that you were complaining. It was better than having to think of appropriate answers. But with Yoriichi, you didn't have to be appropriate. You just had to be you!
He was the only person who didn't complain about how much you got lost in the clouds. And he never once reprimanded you for your methods of doing work or your childish outbursts. If anything, he seemed amused by them. You felt more comfortable with him than even your own father! Every minute you spent with the maroonette felt like Euphoria.
And he in turn felt the same. You were the only one capable of making him laugh and smile genuinely. You're aloof and childish demeanor was interesting and amusing to him. Unlike the professional poised mask you showed the village, when you were with him he saw a whole new side to you. And it made him feel special to think you reserved that side for him and him alone.
The maroonette loved you with his whole heart and couldn't be happier to be your life partner. You were his everything. He wouldn't give you up for the world! That was because you were his world!
"Oi! Yori.... Yori?" Now it was your turn to snap him out of a daydream. When he zoned back in he smiled at you again.
"Were you saying something, dear?"
You gave him a crap-eating grin. "You zoned out! You zoned out!! I'm not the only one who's an airhead! You were daydreaming too Yori! And you can't deny it, ever!!" you yelled and rejoiced. He only laughed.
"My, it seems I have. Well, that can't be good. If we're both only daydreaming the whole day then you'll never get any work done." You were still cheering when his next words made you freeze mid jump.
"I love you, Y/n."
"Eh?" You wren't sure you heard properly. Not that he'd never told you the words before. It was just so out of the blue. "Could you repeat that?"
He chuckled. "You heard me the first time, Dear. But I said I love you. I love you to the moon and back. I wouldn't give you up for the world because you are my world."
"You're every piece of happiness, silliness and childishness in a perfect balance. You made my life complete and I can't imagine living in a world without you. You're my world, don't ever forget that." Still in your perplexed state, you didn't know how to respond.
"Y-Yorii, I..."
"Come on, Y/n." He stood up and held out his hand. "Take my hand now, you're the cause of my Euphoria," he said as he awaited your response.
Of course you took his hand. He led you outside where you could finally look at the sky and question its several shades of blue without being disturbed. But in that moment, you didn't want to daydream! For once!
You wanted to live in the moment. With him. You had nothing to daydream about anymore. Because all your dreams had come true when he entered your life. You laid down on the grass together and you snuggled up next to him. You could worry about swordsmiths and Demon Slayers and shades of blue later.... Eventually. But as of now.
"I love you too, Yorii," you breathed and moved ever closer to him, closing your eyes and relaxing. You didn't get lost in thought at that point in time. All you could focus on was him. His warmth. His scent. The way he played with your hair and hummed softly your favorite song. Just him. "And don't you ever forget that."
"You, Yorii, are the cause of my Euphoria."

Its been a while since I published something, but this just randomly came to mind and I wanted to write it out as soon as possible.
