Hanahaki Disease. A condition caused my unrequited love on one's part. It causes flowers to bloom in the victim's chest, causing difficulty in breathing and eventually death from suffocation. There are only two know cures for Hanahaki: Either the other person reciprocates the victim's feelings or the victim has the flowers surgically removed from their lungs. But should the second method take place, the victim will lose feeling for that person completely.

"I think that's all for now, don't you Inosuke?" Tanjiro panted, bringing their training session to a pause.
"No way! Fight me Gonpachiro!!" Inosuke continued to charge at him but Tanjiro dodged everything and eventually the boar stopped bothering him.
"Oi! (Insert name mispronunciation here) FIGHT ME!!"
You paused your sparring with Zenitsu to look at him for a moment, tilting your head. "But I'm still training with Zenitsu-kun."
"Monistu is too weak for you anyway!! You're the only one worthy to fight the great King of the Mountains so come on!!" the boar hollered. You gave him another confused pout.
"Zenitsu isn't weak. We can train later, sorry." you said and continued with your current partner.
In truth, the boar just wanted to spar with you because he wanted to prove he was stronger. Strong enough to protect you. He wanted you to recognize him at least once! But you never did. You treated him just like you treated Zenitsu and Tanjiro. As a friend. And it pissed him off so much! What was even more annoying... He didn't know why!!
He once tried consulting Aoi about it, even though he could barely describe what he was feeling. It took the poor girl a good two hours of listening to gibberish to finally comprehend what the boar was trying to communicate. But when she did finally understand she was overjoyed to find out.... The one and only King of the Mountains had fallen in love!!
But when she tried to explain to him what he was feeling, the boar was more confused than before. Aoi had eventually given up on trying to make him understand and trusted that he'd find out in his own way. Well, he was finding out in his own way alright!
He always got so pissed every time he saw you talking to another demon slayer who wasn't Tanjiro or Zenitsu because he knew Tanjiro couldn't make any moves on you and Zenitsu had no chance in hell. And every time you got hurt after a mission he felt a small pang in his chest as though... he was worried. He was worried about you!
