Ever since seeing those strange humans having entered Rivendell Brooklyn had made himself scarce whenever he could as well as making sure to hide his warg friend from them'. He was certain Mithrandir would never accept him being the son of Smaug or that he was friends with a warg.

While hiding in a tree, looking out at the pretty view of Rivendell Brooklyn saw a small form of that child sized human with large feet wandering about underneath him. Brook felt nervous as he stayed there in his tree, not wanting to be spotted.

Bilbo Baggins from the Shire was having his first adventure outside of his home in Hobbiton, and was amazed at how beautiful Rivendell was, breathing in the sweet air. Brooklyn himself had felt that sweet fresh air too. Fangspirit woofed excitedly but softly, wanting to meet the Hobbit. Brook growled quietly, holding him. "No, boy, no!" He hissed. That startled the hobbit when hearing the woofing but then shrugged and carried on his wanderings.

Next were the bearded men whom Brooklyn learned from Haldir were dwarves from Erebor, where his father was. That made him even more nervous, scared of having them see him too, especially their leader whose name was Thorin Oakenshield, toughest looking dwarf of the group.

But over the course of the days he began to note a playful friendly side to the dwarf group minus Thorin who remained a stoic figure. In the shadows Brooklyn one time saw the younger dwarves bathing and playing about in a fountain, all naked. He couldn't help a bit of a smile. The way they played reminded him of his brothers, which made tears fall.

He missed his brothers Lex and Broadway, wondering what they were up to right now. Even after feeling betrayed when they lied to him about being a gargoyle. Maybe, whenever the time was right, Brooklyn will reveal himself to them.

One of his first encounters was with the Hobbit but this time around in the sword room. The small hobbit was exploring where the King's sword lay on the mantle, where Brooklyn happened to be staying there in the shadows, always ever so curious in him.

But when he slipped on a loose piece of rock, it startled the hobbit who looked around. "Who's there? Show yourself!" He demanded, pulling out his small sword that looked more like a dagger to Brooklyn, who grinned a bit at how brave he was. He knew it was time to show himself.

Swallowing, Brooklyn stepped out of his hiding place, shaking a bit. Bilbo gasped in surprise, his sword raised, at the sight of the huge winged beast before him that looked like a dragon. Brooklyn held up his hands, his wings wrapped around his shoulders so he posed no threat. "Wait, it's alright, don't freak out-." But Bilbo swung his sword. "Get back! I warn you!" He shouted, staggering a bit.

Brooklyn did his best to get the hobbit's sword away so they could talk but the sword wound up cutting his wrist, making him yelp, holding it tight. Bilbo saw what he did. For this was his first time hurting anything in such a way. His face felt pale, lowering his sword.

The creature knelt, cringing in agony, wishing he had his stone sleep. Bilbo sheathed his sword, stepping forward, looking worried. "I-I'm sorry, I never hurt anyone before, and I... I'm so sorry! Whatever you are," He begged, trying to get Brooklyn's forgiveness. Brooklyn's eyes were glowing from his agony but he let the glow die down just for a moment. "Not... your fault. You were just defending yourself, as anybody should. But I come in peace," He stated, shaking a little.

Bilbo tore off some of his jacket to wrap it around the creature's wrist, making Brooklyn cringe up in pain but let him do it. "It will have to do, until you get elven medicine. That cut looked nasty," He said. Brook gave him a grin. "Been through worse than this uh... who are you?"

The hobbit smiled too. "Bilbo Baggins. The Shire," He introduced, holding out his hand. Brooklyn took it. "I'm Brooklyn, I'm S... a gargoyle," He corrected, ears lowered at nearly giving away his dark secret. "Never heard a name like Brooklyn before. But tell me, have you ever met a wizard?"
