was skittish for a while, he eventually embraced the love from his father again and even the dwarves did their part by making sure Brooklyn had friends.
Though Sauron wasn't done with those two dragons yet, having a plan in mind to get them for himself again. He looked towards Azog in his shadow form, Azog glowering at the dark lord.
"I won't let them off scott free from escaping me, Azog. There will have to be some kind of barter made so they would have no choice but to turn themselves over to me..." Sauron snarled.
Azog gave a cruel grin, knowing what could be a good bargaining chip. "I already have a spy near the Lonely Mountain. He will bring the victim for you. That half breed won't be able to resist."
Sauron hummed in agreement, then summoned another one of his dark creatures which was a Balrog, which roared viciously. "Even if all things fail, I know a creature that could destroy dragons; my Balrog. He will end the Smaug bloodline for good."
The two villains laughed after that until eventually returning back to The Lonely Mountain where Bilbo had offered to Brooklyn he was going to take Fangspirit out for a walk.
Brooklyn agreed to that since he didn't feel like going outside yet for a while, watching Bilbo whistling to Fangspirit who woofed, following Bilbo out of the fortress, Bilbo laughing from the sight of the young warg jumping about playfully.
They were unaware however of an orc that was sneaking its way around the city of Dale, having received orders from his master to take anybody who strayed from Erebor. The orc smirked, spotting that pesky Hobbit and the warg pup who had now somewhat grown in size and was almost bigger than Bilbo by a few more inches.
Bilbo chuckled, petting the warg on the head while the orc spy crept up on them. "You know, I'm kind of glad to have a warg on our side. It is a nice little change." He said to Fangspirit who yipped at him until he suddenly smelled Orc, giving a little growl, turning to where the Orc was.
"Fangspirit, are you alright—agh!" Bilbo gasped out when he was tackled by the orc from the hiding spot behind the building, holding Bilbo by his throat, then tossing him against a rock nearby. Fangspirit woofed loudly, trying to charge the intruder until the orc shot a dart at the warg in the shoulder, making Fangspirit yip, stumbling to the ground, falling unconscious almost right away, panting heavily.
The orc smirked, his own warg snarling too, wanting to make this rogue carry another orc on his back. Picking up the young warg, the orc placed it on his mount's back, strapping it down so the warg pup wouldn't fall off, then riding off back to Dol Goldur.
When returning to Dol Goldur, Azog looked pleased seeing his scout coming back not empty handed this time, spotting the little warg on top of the bigger one, smirking.
"Is this what you wanted, my Master?" The orc hissed, yanking Fangspirit from his steed's back, throwing him to the ground. Azog prodded the pup with his foot before nodding. "Yes. This should bring those dragons to their knees. And we will add this little one into our ranks."
Fangspirit gave a small whine when waking up, looking around to see where he was, looking up above him to find the pale orc sneering down in his direction. Fangspirit snarled in fear, his worst fears of being captured by Sauron's army coming true until more orcs pinned him down. Azog grinned when lifting up his chin. "You won't get away anytime soon mutt. You will be part of my plan to lure your best friend right to me."
The little warg struggled, not wanting to do it at all until the White Warg growled lowly, silencing him. Fangspirit gave a soft howl of despair, hoping someone would get him out of this madness and didn't want his master to be killed.
....
Bilbo had woken up sometime later, rubbing his head. He felt rather groggy but when glancing around he didn't see the orc anywhere, or Fangspirit for that matter. His eyes rounded in horror, standing up sharply. "Fangspirit! Where are you?!" He yelled, knowing this was bad. Brooklyn wouldn't like this at all.
Getting his senses together, BIlbo ran back as fast as his legs could carry him, needing to tell the others about this right away. Inside Erebor, Brooklyn was enjoying himself in the pile of gold that he and Smaug shared, feeling really relaxed, happy that his thoughts of suicide were now gone until someone came into their sanctuary.
Smaug turned about in surprise at the sight of Thorin, who was looking rather worried. "Brooklyn, it is Bilbo. He had come back and... and he said Fangspirit was taken." He gasped aloud, making Brook turn up sharply in fear and worry, storming out to see Bilbo.
Brooklyn found Bilbo with the others who had a bruise on his head, looking rather upset and petrified. "Bilbo, calm down. Who took Fangspirit?" He demanded, wanting to know who so he could rip this guy to shreds.
Bilbo trembled before he spoke. "An-an orc. He knocked me out, and when I woke up, Fangspirit was just gone. I couldn't protect him. I'm so sorry..."
Brooklyn cringed from how sad his Hobbit friend was before leaning down and nuzzling him. "It isn't your fault Bilbo. None of us knew this would happen. But... I got a feeling I know why they would take my best friend." Brook growled in a low tone.
The other dwarfs' faces were outraged, not wanting to see an innocent carefree warg like Fangspirit to turn into another riding drone for those Orcs. Killi drew his sword. "Say the word Brooklyn, and I'll help ya get him back!" Filli nods. He would be willing to die for the young warg who had changed his perspective on their whole species.
Brooklyn however shook his head. "I won't risk any of your lives. None of you deserve to die that way. But if we have to battle a whole herd of orcs to save Fangspirit I will be honored to be with you in battle since I once led my two brothers in a fight against a group called The Pack to save my leader." He said firmly, Smaug looking on in pride at his son for being able to speak this big.
After his meeting with the dwarves, Brooklyn went back into their treasure sanctuary, feeling tears falling down his face while thinking about his best friend in the cruel clutches of Azog, not wanting to imagine what they were going to do with him. If this was some sort of bargain, Brooklyn felt his fangs bare in rage at the thought. Suddenly he felt his father nuzzling him gently.
"Dont't fret so much, my hatchling. We will get Fangspirit back. I know how much he means to you." Smaug said softly, now being a completely different dragon from before, wanting to be a good father to Brooklyn. Brooklyn nuzzled back, his heart racing. "F-Father, I'm just scared that Sauron is once again toying with us. S-Should we just hand ourselves over? Maybe... it would save the lives of all of our friends that way."
That made Smaug's eyes glow angrily. "Never. Never talk that way my drakling! Dragons never surrender to their enemies!" He hissed, using his tail to move Brooklyn closer to him for comfort. Brooklyn though trembled. "I'm not tough like you father. I saw Sauron. He is vicious, cruel. Fangspirit has no chance against him." He sniffled.
His father gave a soft purr, licking Brooklyn's forehead gently. "Don't be afraid of that Dark Lord while I'm around little one. Your dragon blood makes you strong. And we shall come up with some kind of plan, even if it means battling Sauron to the death."
Brooklyn nods with tears in his eyes, cuddling closer to his father as the two began to fall asleep, hoping Fangspirit would survive, knowing sooner or later they would have to meet with his captor with a bargain to get the warg pup back alive to them.
