Brooklyn made his way through the dark narrow tunnel that wasn't quite the main entrance of the mountain but thankfully he was the right enough size to fit inside. He panted heavily, realizing how close he was to at last see his father face to face.

"Just breathe, Brooklyn..." mumbled the red hybrid softly as he managed to make it out of the tunnel and found himself standing inside the great hall of the dwarf king. His eyes rounded at the old tapestries and pillars, his footsteps echoing in the ringing silence. It felt so lonely and empty, wondering how long his father had been by himself for.

Brooklyn wiped his brow upon finding another doorway, knowing he had to find that treasure room where he kept seeing Smaug. Another few more hours of wandering around through the main mines where they melted gold and soon, at last, he found it.

He made his way down a few steps and then his mouth fell open at the sight of all that treasure that was from his dream. It practically flooded the place, all shimmering, awakening his desire to guard the treasure like how a dragon would want to. Swallowing, shaking, he set foot on the coins, making small sounds with his foot.

"F-father?" Brook asked in a small voice, wings wrapped around his shoulders, still shaking quite a bit, eyes darting around, so nervous. He clambered about on the coins and jewels for a while, feeling exhausted, and still hadn't found his dad yet. He sighed in disappointment, sitting with his back against the coin pile against the wall, wondering if his dad will even show himself.

That was when a loud snort echoed, making Brooklyn jerk up, the hair on his neck bristling as he scuttled back onto his feet, panting heavily, ears flat for behind him was a snout; a large one. He also saw a bright yellow eye staring at him. And Brooklyn knew this was really Smaug. The mighty dragon lifted his head, baring his fangs, as he smelled an intruder. His yellow eyes spotted Brooklyn who felt frozen, unable to speak now.

The large dragon hissed at seeing an intruder in his home, swiping his clawed wings at Brooklyn who hardly had time to move and yelped when the claw scratched his side, falling down on the piles of coins.

"You dare to enter into my kingdom? And what are you supposed to be? Your scent isn't what I am expecting!" Smaug snarled dangerously, waving his wings then lowered his head down to Brooklyn's height. Brooklyn gripped his side, shaking badly.

"I'm not here to steal, I came to return home." Brooklyn gasped out loud, his inner dragon trying to escape. Smaug growled, backing away, a laugh coming from him. "You don't deceive me little pest, you're not even a dragon!"

Brooklyn's eyes glowed his yellow color. "But I am! I'm your son! And I have no desire to challenge you! I saw you in my dreams!" He was pushed against the wall again by the tail. "Lies!" Roared Smaug. "You are a deceiver! I lost my son!"

The hybrid shook all over as he knew he had to transform to prove to his father it was really him. A low growl echoed in his throat, as his body began to morph. Smaug was suddenly taken aback when seeing this strange winged creature grow bigger, arms morphing into his larger wings, and growing more dragon-like in appearance, and just as large as Smaug but only half the size.

Smaug couldn't talk at first as the intruder spoke in desperation again. "It is really me, father, please, look at me!" Brooklyn begged, his dragon ears flat on his head, tears in his eyes. He didn't want to come all this way for nothing. "A trickster named Puck told me how he saved me as an egg after you dropped me! I was raised by gargoyles!" Shouted Brooklyn, voice growing shaky and desperate.

The dragon before him gave a low rumble, fierce yellow eyes narrowed. He moved closer, sniffing the scent of this intruder. But to his surprise; a familiar scent hit his nose. It was soft, sweet, like the egg he had carried and dropped all those years ago.
