I was flying quickly to Lostthought's house, avoiding NightWings that were wandering around about their daily life. I landed on her front doorstep and was about to knock when suddenly the door flew open and Lostthought was standing on the other side. "Come in Shiver, I knew you'd be here, I had a terrible vision." I looked at her anxiously, "What do you mean? What did you see?" I stammered. Lostthought let out a big sigh, "It's starting... he's going to do it now." I looked at her confused, "What are you talking about?" She turned to me and looked at me in my eyes, "Darkstalker is planning something, I know he's going to enchant something to try and either kill you, or make you just disappear." My eyes widened with alarm, "Is there a way to stop it?" Lostthought nodded, "Yes, you have to enchant something... but what?" She started searching around her house, looking for something to use. I shook my head, "I can't use my magic... I've used it too much already, Fathom's probably right about his theory." Lostthought lifted a pair of small silver studded earrings from a box near a mirror, "Don't worry about that, this won't affect your soul that much. Besides, your safety is more important." She handed me the earrings and I held them in my talons, and I let out a long sigh, "Hm... fine I'll enchant them." I held the earrings tightly in my talons and whispered, "Enchant these earrings to prevent all of Darkstalkers magic from working on me." Afterwards I lifted them and stuck them in my ears, slightly wincing at the pain when it went through. "There," I grumbled, "I don't think he'll be able to work his magic on me now." Lostthought smiled, "Hopefully, please be careful Shiver... I don't trust him, and that prophecy is rather concerning." I nodded in agreement, "I know. And I haven't even seen Darkstalker face to face in a while, I've only been talking to Clearsight and Fathom. And now that I have these," I lifted my talon up to touch the earring, "I don't think he'll be able to do much to me now." I turned to leave Lostthought's house, "I guess I'll see you around, I'll let you know what happens." Lostthought waved me goodbye as I flew back to the palace. Once I arrived I opened the door to my room and layed back down, "Let's try and get some sleep," I whispered aloud, "Preferably with no creepy nightmares." I shut my eyes and drifted off back to sleep.
In the morning I was awakened by the sun shining in the window, I stretched and got up to find something to eat. I left the palace again and headed towards the main court so I could go hunting in the woods, but I stopped when I saw Fathom and one of his other guards. I walked up towards him and the guard lumbered into position to protect Fathom. "It's alright Wharf," He said dismissing the guard, "Hey Shiver, what are you doing out here?" Fathom asked. "I was going to go hunting, want to come along?" I asked. Fathom shook his, "Sure." We spread our wings and headed out towards the woods so I could catch some food, and swooped back around towards the beach so Fathom could get some fish. "Hey Fathom." Fathom turned towards me with a fish in his mouth, "Hm?" He took the fish out of his mouth, "Sorry, that was rude, what is it, Shiver?" I laughed a little at Fathom trying to talk with the fish in his mouth. "It's alright, but uhm... I wanted to ask you something." Fathom nodded for me to continue, "I was wondering where Indigo was? I've never seen you two apart." Fathom's wings drooped with sadness, "She left." He said quietly. I blinked in surprise, "What?" Fathom nodded slowly, "It was shortly after Darkstalker's mother was kidnapped by Queen Diamond and her army." I shook my head, "Darkstalker's mother was taken by the IceWing Army!" I exclaimed with surprise, "That explains so much now." Fathom tilted his head, confused, "What do you mean?" I shifted my talons in the white sand below me, "Well... I saw Darkstalker in my dream, but it wasn't really like a dream, it was like an actual conversation... I don't really know." I trailed off. "That was probably Darkstalker using his new Dreamvisitor." Fathom said. "A what?" I asked, confused. "A dreamvisitor is this little sapphire that he... enchanted to visit and talk to people in their dream. He made three of them, and gave one to Clearsight and I." Fathom finished explaining and I shook my head, "Well, I think he used it on me." Fathom looked at me intently, "Well, what did he want? I haven't seen you two face to face in a while." I shifted nervously again, should I tell him, or would he worry too much? I shook my head, "It wasn't really important." Fathom looked at me a little suspiciously but quickly dismissed it, "I'm ready to head back to the palace." I started spreading my wings getting ready to fly. Fathom and Wharf followed suit, and we all headed back to the palace. "I have something I want to give to Clearsight, but I don't know when she will wake up." Fathom shrugged, "I'm not sure either, NightWings have a weird sleep schedule. I think she gets up around noon." He turned to head into his room, "Oh, also Darkstalker gave me the soul reader, and I tried carving him a statue, but he gave it back to me after Indigo left. He said since it looks a lot like her, maybe I should keep it instead." He picked up a small wooden statue, carved to look like a SeaWing, and I could see the resemblance of Indigo. "I'm really sorry about Indigo." I said sympathetically. Fathom shrugged, "It's alright, it's for the better anyways." His wings drooped sadly as he walked into his room. I felt bad for poor Fathom, Indigo was one of the few dragons he really cared about, why would she just leave so abruptly? I tried to shrug off the worried feeling I got from the whole situation, but I knew it wouldn't be possible. I turned to head back to my room so I could grab the map for Clearsight, it was approaching noon and if Fathom was correct, she should be awake soon. Once it became noon I'd give Clearsight the map and ask her about what was happening with Darkstalker and Fathom. It was odd that so many significant dragons were disappearing.
