Thursday morning and the big day is here... the meeting we're here for.
I was woken up by the alarm set by Hyunjin. I don't even know exactly when the meeting is, but I want it off my chest.
Hyunjin turned off the alarm, turned over and went back to sleep. I thought we were getting up, but I guess not? I raised myself up slightly to a sitting position and looked at Hyunjin's exposed back.
I touched him lightly and shook him to wake him up. He turned to look at me with a look that said what I needed. "When's the meeting...?", I asked a little shyly.
"Mhh.. at one in the afternoon" he said in a half asleep voice. "Then why is your alarm set for 8am?" "Mh, I was going to make breakfast but.. it woke you up and it wouldn't have been a surprise." He rubbed his eyes. "That's sweet of you, but you don't have to do anything like that. You're the boss and I'm the assistant, I should be the one making breakfast."
"It's just that I wanted to do something on my own. When I'm the boss, everyone just jumps around me and-" I interrupted him. "I'll make it, you need to get a good night's sleep for the meeting" I smiled at him and got out of bed. "But-" "No buts" I said and left the bedroom.
I walked into the kitchen wearing only my pajamas, but somehow I wasn't sleepy anymore.
I looked at what we had in the fridge and decided to make toast with scrambled eggs. I also made some coffee, which will really come in handy today.
When I was done, I put it all on the smaller kitchen table and went to check on my boss, who was still sleeping. I smiled slightly and went to wake him up.
I stopped by his place and shook him slightly again. He immediately woke up and looked at me. "I made breakfast and coffee come eat it, then you can go back to sleep" I said and was about to leave, but he grabbed my wrist.. I was a little scared because I never expected this.
I stopped and stood silently waiting to hear what he would say. But he didn't say anything, and he pulled me to him by the wrist. I stood by him and stared into his eyes, and he stared into mine. "W-what's wrong?"
"Thank you, but you didn't have to make breakfast or coffee, I would have made it myself. But thank you, you're really nice and I'm glad you're my assistant" he smiled at me. That put a smile on my face.
"Now you really should get out before it gets cold." I said, waiting for him to let me go.
"I'm coming well" he said and let go of my wrist. Then we both walked to the kitchen and started eating, which with any luck was still warm enough.
