He led me to a place in the park that was full of flowers. And he was right, there was no one here.
"What do you think?" "It's nice here, I like the flowers all around" I smiled at him. "I'm so glad-" he was interrupted by the sound of his phone. "Excuse me" he said and then took the call.
I stood still and watched the nature around me, I didn't want to eavesdrop.
"We have to go" he spoke after a few minutes and I looked at him. "What happened?" "It's about my brother. He's in the hospital" he said and you could see how nervous he was.
I rolled my eyes. First of all... How many fucking siblings does he have? And secondly... What the hell happened!?
I was about to ask another question, but he immediately shut me down. "I'll tell you everything on the way there, now is not the time for questions." he grabbed my wrist and dragged me out of the park.
"Wait! My legs can't keep up with Hyu-" I almost bumped into his back when he stopped in front of me.
"What are you doing?" I stared at his back as he leaned forward slightly and lowered himself to the ground. "Jump on my back" "W-what?" "Jump on my back, we'll get there faster."
I was stunned... but I didn't linger too long and jumped... or at least tried to jump... on his back.
"Hold on tight, but don't choke me again" he said and headed back to his house at a fast pace. "I feel like I'm sitting on a horse... it's throwing me off" "Have you ever ridden a horse?" He asked, still trotting along without stopping.
"No and you?" "No. Do you want to?" "Ride a horse?" "Yeah. Do you want to ride a horse?"
"Well... I... I've never really thought about it, and actually... I guess I wouldn't mind." "Okay, that's settled." "Wait what?" "Nothing... hang in there"
He quickly got to his house, got me off his back and unlocked his car with the keys. "Get in, let's go" he said and he was already starting slowly.. he was so fast.
I sat down and put my seatbelt on. Hyunjin had already started the car slowly pulled out onto the road. I could see that he had all sorts of questions going through his head.
What happened? Is his brother okay? Did he crash?
"H-Hyun please... s-slow down... you're going too fast. I'm sure it'll be okay, please... slow down or we'll crash" I looked at him in fear... but he didn't respond...
"Hyunjin please... I'm scared." Still no response... is he ignoring me?
"Hyunjin" "S-sorry... what did you say?" "Please slow down... we'll crash.. it'll be fine.." I gently touched his leg.
"Please... you're scaring me" "I'm sorry" his voice boomed and he immediately slowed down.
"I'm just worried about what happened... Niki is the youngest sibling and I'm worried about him and-" "Shh, listen. I'm sure he'll be okay.. I understand your concern for your brother, but don't worry.. I'm sure nothing bad happened and remember, I'm here with you." I gave him a smile and continued to let him drive in peace.
The hospital is 10 minutes away from his house I believe. Or at least that's what I think. "We'll be there" he said and turned at the intersection towards the hospital and then looked for a free parking space.
And when he found one, he parked and turned off the engine... I'm not gonna lie, he almost jumped out of the car at speed. I, on the other hand, got out normally. He locked the car and tried to run.
"Hyung" I called out to him and he stopped immediately. Was it because I called out to him... or because of the addressing?
"Wait for me... I have shorter legs" I puffed up my cheeks and caught up with him.
"What did you call me?" he looked at me as I ran up to him. "U-um... h-hyung?.. Is that a problem? If yes.. sorry" "Not cool"
We both reached the hospital and immediately went to the reception desk where an elderly lady was sitting.
"Hello, what do you need?" She looked at us and smiled. "We would like to see a patient named Niki Hwang"
"Okay and what is your relationship?" "He's my brother" "Okay, room 14, here on the left side." She smiled at us and looked us both over from head to toe... and smiled like I don't know what...
Why- What went through her head? I mean, yeah, it's nice to smile at work, but this was too much.
"How many siblings do you have?" "Two of my own and one step-sibling. Niki and Yeji, and then there's Sam." He knocked on the door and walked in with.. me by his side.
"Hyunjin!" "Niki, what happened? Are you okay?" We walked closer to him. "I'm fine, don't worry.. I just fell down the stairs at school and hit my head."
"Concussion!??" immediately Hyunjin glared at him. "Luckily no. And who's that next to you?" his gaze shifted to me.
"Ohh yeah.. this is Felix. Felix, this is Niki" "Nice to meet you Felix" he smiled. "Likewise Niki" I smiled back.
"And you two" he pointed his finger at the two of us and put on a confused face.
"Us two what?" asked Hyunjin confused. "You two are, well... dating?" "WHAT?" We both exclaimed.
"He's my assistant, silly. Why would you think that?" "No.. you just look sweet together" he smiled and laughed lightly.
Somehow I didn't understand where that came from... why did he think his brother was dating me?
Yes, it's weird to take a "colleague" from work to his brother, but still... We don't know each other, so why did he come right out with the idea that me and Hyunjin are a couple?

I already posted it on my profile, but I'll post it here too. I'm so sorry that the next chapter is coming out a bit later. I was mentally down at first, then I had a lot of school. On top of that, I had my final exams for car and a week of internship outside of school.
And to top it all off, last Monday at school I got knocked down of a horse and fell badly, I have two broken thoracic vertebrae, and I'll be home for a month... I'm pretty bummed because I can barely do anything but lay around. But I'm looking forward to being home with my lovely mare <3 she's the one I miss the most. Thank you for your understanding!
