Mariam violently rubbed her eyes the fajr of the next day, the semi dark sky outside that's gradually turning bright which could be seen through the window made Mariam to predict that the time should be something around five. She could hear the sound of the Adhan being called and at the same time she could hear a loud sound coming from the neighboring room sounding as someone is fighting with themselves.
She had always hates noises.
She looked at the clock and realize that it's not yet 6am as she had predicted.
Mariam muttered the waking up prayer before getting up the bed, she wanted to go and shout at the person that is causing that loud noises but she assumed that the person will probably soon stop cashing those unpleasing noises as it's clearly is time for morning prayer.
Mariam entered the luxurious toilet where she took a long one hour bath before she dressed up into a clean white suits putting a hijab over her head as she sprayed a prayer mat on the carpeted floor of the room and was ready to pray yet she couldn't because the noise coming from the other room is so loud and irritating to her ears.
Mariam finally decided to go and talk to the person there, maybe the person will listen
to her, only that she had forgotten this is a hotel and not her parents mansion.Mariam exited the door to her room closing it behind her, she walked to the next door gently knocking on the well sculpted surface of the door. Mariam knocked again, and again and again wanting the other person to answer her.
And when she finally thought the other person won't open the door, the door was swung open with an irritated set of deep black eyes staring at her. At first she thought her eyes deceived but when she blinked and opened her eyes again, she realized that it is actually him.
Ahmad.
Mariam could see the broken peace's of furnitures in his room behind him, he had broken the television set and everything else, the only thing neatly kept here is the bed that's neatly arranged. Mariam had wanted to ask him why he destroyed the furnitures like this but she simply kept quiet about that.
"Why....what are you doing here ?" Mariam confusingly asked.
Ahmad's lazy eyes stared back at her, this is the first time she is seeing his surly hair let down and not parked into a bun and she could see how it's almost covering his eyes completely.
"You are in my hotel and you are asking me what I am doing here. I should be the one asking you what you are doing here in my section of the hotel." Ahmad said drafting a hand in his pocket while the other held the handle of the door trying his possible best to block the view of the destroyed furnitures behind him. Too late she has already seen it.
Mariam ignored his question as she stare at the view of his room in awe. Ahmad instantly pulled the door closer to his body saying "What in the world are you trying to see in my room ?"
Mariam said "I want to pray subhi and apparently the noises of you breaking stuffs is not going to allow me to pray in peace. If you could please stop."
Ahmad frowned settling his lazy eyes boringly on her before saying "You're telling your boss that..really ?"
Mariam's response was simple "You are my boss only in the office but outside that you are just a normal Ahmad." With that, she threw a last glance at him before leaving to her room.
Ahmad's frown deepens as he shut his door picking up his phone to call his hotel manager, Femi who picked up almost immediately.
"Explain to me why there is someone staying g at my section of the hotel Femi." Ahmad said sitting down on the couch with his hand rubbing circles on his forehead as if having a headache."I'm sorry Sir." Femi apologized immediately.
"I didn't not ask for a sorry Femi, I said you should tell me why there is someone in my side of the hotel when you know pretty well that this particular side is privately mine." Ahmad thundered."All the other room were occupied and that was the only available one so I let her stay instead of loosing a customer, I'm so sorry Si—." Femi explained while Ahmad cut the call before he could do and speaking.
He threw the phone away not caring wether it had crashed or not, money is not his problem.
