Chapter 6

( The day drags by slowly. After school, he is walking home with Kai and Nya were still on his mind when suddenly he enters a trance. He felt like his body was being controlled by someone else. He was unconscious and when he broke free of the trance, he found himself in an old warehouse. He then realized that he isn't alone;as he could see the outlines of 5 people. It was dark so he couldn't tell who they were. Suddenly the lights go on and all of the teens look at each other in surprise. Lloyd spots some familiar faces among them.)
Lloyd:Kai? Nya? How are you here?
Kai: I should be asking you Lloyd. I bet you have something to do with this.
Lloyd:(annoyed) No I don't!
Kai: Yes you do!
Lloyd: No I don't!
Kai: Yes you do!
Lloyd: NO I DO NOT!
Kai: YES YOU.......
Cole:(interrupts) Are the two of you really going to be bickering all day? I don't know who both of you are or why you are arguing but it's starting to get annoying.
Nya:(looks around) By the way, who knows where we are?
Zane: We appear to be in an old warehouse of some sort.
Lloyd: Zane?! You're here also?
Zane: Affirmative.
Jay: Can someone please tell me HOW WE GOT HERE?! THIS DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE!
Cole: Well, what about this? Instead of us questioning each other, WE SHOULD JUST FIND A WAY OUT OF HERE!
Jay: I agree with him.(Turns around only to find an old man with a long white beard behind them a little way off)
Jay: AHHH!!!!
(The others turn around)
Lloyd:(surprised) Uncle Wu?!
Kai: You have an uncle?!
Lloyd: Yeah, I do, doesn't everyone?
Jay:(looks at Lloyd) Hang on a second you look familiar...(gasps) YOU'RE LORD GARMADON'S SON! WHY ARE YOU HERE?! AND HOW?!
Lloyd: I dunno, ask my uncle, he probably used some magic tea of some sort and put us in a trance or something and brought us here. For what, I don't know so please stop staring at me like that.
Master Wu: Very observant Lloyd, very observant.
Jay: Magic tea doesn't exist!(chuckles nervously) Does it?
Cole: Mr erm.....(trying to remember Master Wu's name) Mr. Wu, please why have you brought us here?
Master Wu: That's Master Wu to you, Cole.
Cole: HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME?!
Master Wu:(ignoring Cole's question, walking around the 6 teens) I didn't bring any of you here
for no reason or by mere coincidence. I brought you here for you 6 are the next generation of elemental masters this world needs to prevent Lord Garmadon from taking over Ninjago.
(The 6 of them look at each other in confusion)
Kai: Wait, wait, wait. Hold on a second sir, you mean to say that we, a bunch of random highschoolers are elemental whatnot...
Master Wu: Elemental masters.
Kai: Oh okay, noted. As I was saying, so the 6 of us are elemental masters who are meant to protect the city? What are elemental masters anyway?
Master Wu: It means you 6 have elemental powers. Kai, you are fire, fierce and loyal to your friends; Jay, you are lightning, quick and always full of excitement; Nya, you are water, going with the flow and able to adapt; Cole, you are earth, strong and firm that one can lean on on times of trouble; Zane, you are ice, cool and calm;and Lloyd; you are energy, a life force who never compromises his principles no matter what.
Jay: Alright. Alright. Now I've heard everything. This is a bunch of baloney!
Lloyd: Is energy even an element?
Master Wu: Yes it is Lloyd. It is a mixture of the 5 elements of creation: earth, fire, water, ice and lightning. You 6 shall also train to become ninja.
Lloyd: So basically, my powers is just a bunch of elements lumped together.
Master Wu: Correct.
Kai: That's it. I'm leaving. This makes no sense.
Master Wu:(walks over to a shelf and takes a teacup) I will not force you to leave but I will not force you to stay either.
(All of a sudden, a huge and heavy crate on top of the shelf tips over and is going to fall on Master Wu. Cole notices this, rushes over to where Master Wu is standing, pushes him out of the way and surprisingly, catches the crate with his other hand. All the teens are confused but none no one is more confused than Cole himself. In addition, as Cole is holding the crate, his hand is glowing orange. And the crate doesn't feel heavy in Cole's hand)
Cole:(still holding the crate) What just...?!
Nya: How did you?!
Zane: Master Wu said that Cole's element, earth, is strong and firm. I presume that this allows him to carry heavy objects easily.
Master Wu: Correct Zane. As an earth elemental, you are able to lift things of great weight.
Jay: So all this stuff about us having powers is true? I'm in!
Nya: Being a ninja actually sounds fun. I'm in!
Cole:(drops the crate) I am definitely going to want to find out what else I can do.
Lloyd: I'm not so sure, but I can give this whole "elemental powers" thing a try.
Zane: I also agree.
Kai: If you're in Nya,(sighs) then so am I. Anyway, what's the worst that can happen?
Lloyd:(goes over to Kai)Kai, about what happened in school today, will we still be able to be friends?
Kai: Of course we will. I am sorry that I yelled at you. I was just annoyed that you didn't tell me. I meant what I said about not caring who you father is so when I found out that you didn't tell me the truth, it was like you didn't trust me. Plus I realized that if my dad was a super evil villain that wanted to take over Ninjago, I wouldn't want my friends to know either. And you are like a younger brother to me Lloyd, and since it seems like destiny has brought us as part of a team, I don't see why we shouldn't make amends.
Lloyd: I'm glad to have you back, Kai.
Master Wu: Your training begins tomorrow. You may leave.
(All of them leave except Lloyd)
Lloyd: So uncle... I was always wondering, why is my dad evil? What corrupted him?
Master Wu:(sighs) It happened long before this city existed. Me and your father were training in our courtyard when I accidentally hit Garmadon's katana and it flew over the wall. Knowing that our father would not be pleased that we lost it, Garmadon asked me to go and get it. I said it was best for us to get it later but he decided to go and get it himself. As he went outside, he realized that the katana had fallen by a bush. When he wanted to take it, suddenly a snake bit him, its venom capable of turning good into bad. It took decades for the venom to turn him evil.
Lloyd: So that's what happened to him...(remembers something)Did you search for the cure?
Master Wu:(sighs again) Of course we did, but despite all our efforts and struggles, unfortunately we were unable to get it.
Lloyd: Wait.... If I become a ninja doesn't that mean that I have to fight..... him?
Master Wu: Unfortunately, yes Lloyd you do. In other for you to save your father and this realm, you and the others must become ninja.
Lloyd:(sighs) Very well, I understand. If becoming a ninja means that it will end all this, then I accept.(he leaves)
Master Wu:(thinks)*Destiny has divided our family once, and now it seems like it has done it again.*
