THE RAIN WAS FALLING HEAVILY, stinging Alex's eyes as she watched and waited.

She and the others were camped out on a rooftop, directly across the road from a construction sight that George had been working on for Ward. That's where the two men would be meeting.

That's where George would make his attempt at getting a confession about killing Big John, attaking John B, or the truth about Peterkin. They were all willing to take whatever they could get at this point to put him away or at least discredit him, for when they turned Katherine in.

George brought the gun and the case files in a large duffle bag, prepared to blackmail Ward if necessary. And it would likely be necessary.

He would have his phone recording in his back pocket to hopefully catch the admission, but just in case something went wrong and Ward found out he was recording or freaked out, the teens would be in place with a video camera, taping the entire scene from a distance.

It was a strong plan, but still, Alex couldn't seem to shake her nerves.

Finally, after what feels like an eternity of waiting, Ward's car pulls up to the site, headlights slicing through the heavy rain.
