"C'MON SARAH," Alex practically had to run up the stairs to keep up with the blonde, who was making a beeline for her bedroom. "You can talk to me, you know that right?"
Sarah sniffled as she pushed the door to her room open. "I don't really feel like talking."
Alex lingered in the doorway, watching her best friend fall back onto her bed, clearly very upset. "You don't have to." She said sweetly. "But can I stay with you?"
Nodding slowly, Sarah gave Alex the greenlight to slip into the bed beside her. The two girls layed side by side, the blonde staring up at the ceiling and the brunette watching her, worried.
After a few moments of heavy silence, Sarah parted her chapped lips to break it. "I almost had sex tonight."
At the statement, Alex sat bolt upright, her mouth falling open with shock. "With Topper?" When Sarah nodded, she added, "Why didn't you?"
Sarah inhaled sharply, thinking for a moment. When she spoke again, her voice was quiet. "I told him I was ready...I really thought I was ready. But when it came down to it...I-I couldn't. I don't know what happened, it just ━━ "
