The gang took time to admire the place as the terrors lead them through the hallways. Realistic portraits of paintings hung every few feet from each other. Most of them were realistic drawings of different dragons in their habitats while others were paintings of beautiful views.
One of them caught Hiccup's eye, it was a painting of Berk. It was drawn in the perspective from a far distance. 'The distance that can only be reached by dragon.' He thought as the group moved along. He remembered looking at Berk from that point of view on a sea stack after riding Toothless.
The group separated at the stairs where Fishlegs and the twins followed the terrors on the ground floor while Hiccup, Astrid and Snotlout followed the three terrors upstairs.
Hiccup entered the first room, awkwardly thanking the terrible terror. The dragon seemed to understand him as he squawked happily while turning around to leave.
The guest room was a similar size to his own room back in Berk. There was a bed that was enough for one person against the wall on his right, a small complete set of table and chair beside it. There is also a rock slab at the corner of the room which Toothless excitedly bounded over to.
After unloading his things from Toothless, he decided to leave Toothless to rest while he went exploring. He softly closed the door just in time to see Astrid exiting her room.
"I know that look." She commented.
"What do you mean?" Hiccup asked innocently, resisting the strong urge to smirk.
"It's the look you give every time you confirmed something you theorized. I already said I believed you."
"Ok, fine. I can't help it." He relented, shrugging.
"Its just," he slumped against the wall. "I finally found her after all these years. I still can't believe I missed seven years of memories that I could have made with her." He confessed, a bittersweet smile replacing his smirk.
Astrid looked at him sympathetically, sad to see her unofficial brother upset like these. "But that doesn't mean you can't make new ones in the future, starting now. So stop wallowing and cheer up, you don't want your first memory here to be a crying in a mansion's hallway situation." She placed her hands on his shoulders, slightly shaking him out of the negative mindset.
Hiccup smiled gratefully, thankful to have a friend like Astrid.
"What would I do without you?"
"Probably end up depressed or in a ditch somewhere."
"Har har, very funny. And for the record, I wasn't going to cry, you know?"
"Whatever you say."

When they went down to the living room, the rest of the gang is already there, sitting on the couch. All of them can't help but to discuss about their host.
"She was so badass." Ruffnut commented, smiling as she recalled the event that happened.
"She was terrifying." Snotlout shivered and crossed his arms, pouting a little. Hiccup raised his brow, surprised by the statement. Keep in mind, this was Snotlout, the one Astrid keeps throwing into the wall for stress relief, the one the twins used as a test subject to all their dangerous experiments. Snotlout was terrified by just words.
"To be honest, you deserved that. I swear I saw you peed your pants a bit. That was the most satisfying moment I have ever seen in my life." Astrid said, having a similar expression as Ruffnut.
"I'm glad you feel that way." A voice made the group jump. You leaning against the door frame, trying to resist an amused smile from making its way onto your lips, but failing.
"Dinner's ready." You informed. "And, Snotlout?" Everyone paused, waiting to see what you want to say to the viking who self proclaimed himself to be the bravest of all vikings that was now trying not to wither under your gaze.
"I'm sorry. Even though it's true, doesn't mean you have to hear that." You apologized. "But keep in mind that it wasn't a threat." You added. "It was a warning." With that you walked away.
Snotlout's face was as pale as a sheet. His friends patted him in the shoulder while passing by, some sympathetic, most are not.
A delicious aroma floated into their nostrils the moment the stepped into the dining room. It was unusually big for a dining room of very few people, but they instantly understood when their own dragons bounded into the room.
You loaded fish baskets at the side of the room, just in time to get away before the dragons knock you down. You loaded a separate basket at Midnight's designated spot, which she dug in a lot more gracefully.
Once they were eating, you wheeled out a cart out from your kitchen. What was on there made the riders' mouths water and stomachs growling even louder. Roasted sheep, bread, corn and soup were brought onto the table.
"Please, help yourself." You beckoned.
After flying for three days while living off on fruits and fishes, the riders didn't need to be told twice. They stuffed the food eagerly into their mouths.
"Mm, Y/n, these are so good." Astrid commented, earning a few chorus of agreements from around the table.
"Mm, agreed. My stomach thanks you. I can never go back to eating regular food again." Tuffnut added, furiously shoving food into his mouth. Suddenly, he paused. "This is not chicken, is it?"
You smiled, confused. "No, it's sheep."
"He has a pet chicken." Ruffnut answered absentmindedly, still stuffing her face with meat.
"Ah." You nodded. "Well, I'm glad you like it. I learnt these recipes from a few cooks around archipelago."
The rest of dinner was silent. Mostly because all of their minds and mouths were filled with the delicious delicacies in front of them.
After dinner, the dragons accompanied their riders to their rooms with a satisfied stomach.
That night, Hiccup slept a good night sleep. Even though many questions still lingered in his mind, they can wait, now he just wants to be relieved at the fact that he has found his long lost best friend.
