"May! May!" I yell opening the door to her house and look into the kitchen at her mom who seemed really startled. "sorry my bad you just left it open," I say franticly and sprint up the stairs.
"May!" I say almost tackling her.
"What happened to you? Is miss perfect crying?" She asked choosing a bad time to tease me.
"Yes!" I say loosing grip and start to cry again.
"Okay you are a wreck take a deep breath and take a shower and explain this all to me," May says pointing to the bathroom. "I'll heal your Pokemon,"
I head into the bathroom and start to take a shower when may comes into the bathroom while I rush to shut the curtain.
"Gurl why are you like this you practically rule the world who got the best of you?" She asks.
"This girl named Crystal and boy named Gold. They set me up to embarrass myself!" I say angrily.
"Okay, and this is a big deal because as a ten year old you had bigger problems? Seriously didn't the two of us totally get fooled back around my dads house in Hoenn? This is so not major," May says.
"I don't know I guess I actually thought they were nice enough to be my friends!" I say holding back tears. I knew why it was bad but I was fighting it because I was embarrassed.
"Yeah Lauren don't you have enough friends by now? I need to know more about them you don't want friends you already have them," she says and I don't say anything because I know when she hums she is thinking.
"Snap!" She says. "No crud Lauren!" She says out of nowhere.
"No crud Lauren what?" I ask turning off the the water and grabbing a towel.
"You had a crush on that boy didn't you?" May asked. I step out of the shower wrapped in the towel.
"Okay May I did not!" I say blushing and thinking about that for a minute. "okay also I would like to get changed," I say.
"Obviously you like him you are blushing so hard I want to know more but I don't see what you needed me for," she says with attitude putting her hands on her hips.
"Okay first of all I don't see why you don't want to see me, you know people would die to do that right? And I kinda wanted you to come with me on the rest on my journey and cover me." I say getting dressed.
"Cover you from what?" May asks.
"What if I run into them? I can't go out like this!" I say.
"Yes you can and can suck it up buttercup!" May says as I come out still squeezing my hair.
"Just I don't want to be me right now okay?" I say.
"Fine Lauren we will change "you" but eventually you have to snap out of it," May agrees.
