"So you just let them run away?" Gold asks.
"Yea," I respond, looking at the ground.
"Why would you do that Lauren!?" Gold screams at me.
"I don't know!!!" I scream back.
"You know what, you can finish your journey by yourself. Let's go Silver," Gold says to a very confused Silver, who had just gotten back over to us. Gold grabs Silver, and they take off running. I decide to secretly follow them, and see what they are up to. Thankfully they go straight to the next forest connecting this city and the one next one. I hadn't battled the gym leader yet, but I would have to do that on the way back to Olivine. I had more important things to do now. Today I was going to get Crystal on my side.I knew exactly where to find her. The barn. Still I wasn't sure why I was doing it, but it sure was better than my friends. May and Dawn never grew up and they were holding it against me. And today, I didn't know what Golds problem was but I knew I would finish my journey the way I intended to, with Crystal. Yeah, yeah Crystal and I weren't exactly on great terms but I think she was good enough to let it pass. Yeah I didn't have a plan and probably should have just went at it alone but I was there right outside of new bark town in front of the cruddy little barn. I knocked three times before Crystal came to the door.
"Oh hi Lauren did you come to turn yourself in?" Crystal rolls her eyes.
"Not really. I guess you could say I came to make an alliance?" I say.
"What for?" Crystal asks.
"You're mad at Gold right?" I ask evilly.
