My Only Retreat

Crooked Young

AMYS POV 

The door flies open and my dad stares back at all at us. How the fuck did he even find us? We have been traveling around the states the whole summer and he only met Emma. How did he even know I was with Pierce the Veil? 

We all blankly stared at each other. My dad eventually ran up to me and grabbed my hand. He looked at me then opened my hand and he placed a folded and torn piece of paper in it then ran out of the bus. I look down at the paper and it read, TO AMY. 

I was a bit curious of what the letter said but at the same time a bit scared what it contained. I soon felt hands wrap around my waist. I look straight up to see Oli looking down at me and smiling. Vic and Emma came closer to me as well. 

"Open it." They all said in unison. They all peered over me with curious eyes. I start to slowly open it and try not to rip the paper even more. I completely unfolded it and a check falls on the floor. I pick up the check from the floor and saw it read 10000 dollars and was addressed to me. My mouth hangs open and I begin to read the letter. 

"Dear Amy, Matt, and Kyle, 

I'm sorry about everything. I know that really doesn't make up for it but I hope this money will make up for a part of it. After you guys left I was really angry. I couldn't control myself. My friends told me you were adopted and already living a new life with Pierce the Veil.  I didn't want to believe there was another life for you than here with me but I have been watching you guys for quite awhile and you seem so happy with Pierce the Veil. So I decided to get out of your lifes because it was the best for all of us. I hope you guys are happy now. I wanted to know I love you still and your mom would be so proud of you guys. 

-Your Dad." 

The tears have already crawled down my face. My emotions were already taking action while my brain was still processing what just happened. I didn't know whether to feel angry, happy, relieved, or sad. My mixed emotions were confusing me so I just ended up bursting out laughing. 

Everyone looked at me with confused looks and then started to join me in my laughter.
