The hooded figure watched from the shadows as the trio approached the young teenage boy and the lifeless body he held in his arms. It had been so long since the figure had seen another human being and they longed to go to the group. However, the figure knew their presence wouldn't be received well so they remained in the shadows.
They had orders that needed to be followed and their master wasn't one to wait. The figure watched as the older man knelt down next to the teenager and the lifeless body, a small feeling of guilt present in their mind. Pushing their thoughts to the back of their mind, the figure snapped their fingers and watched as the once lifeless body came back to life. With a small smile on their lips, they disappeared into the woods, leaving the group to reunite and celebrate.

Steve fell to his knees as he took in the horrific sight before him. His first instinct was to reach for Dustin and hold him in his arms but Dustin was clinging to Eddie's lifeless body like he was never going to let go. The young teenager was sobbing and it broke his heart.
Steve finally focused on Eddie and he felt sick. His body was covered in deep bites and his own blood. Steve hadn't known Eddie for long, apart from noticing him from a distance while they were in school together, but he was gutted that the older man was gone. He had expected to get Eddie's name cleared and help the man start fresh after they defeated Vecna but now there was no hope of that.
He turned his head slightly when he heard someone quietly sobbing behind him. Nancy gave him a sad smile as she comforted Robin who was burying her face in Nancy's shoulder. It seemed that Robin has grown fond of Eddie and Steve couldn't blame her. He was a charmer.
He turned back to face Dustin but his eyes immediately focused back on Eddie. Steve couldn't believe what he was seeing and it seems Dustin saw it as well.
"Eddie? Eddie! Eddie!" Dustin exclaimed, giving his body a shake.
"Dustin, wait. Look!" Steve said, pointing to Eddie's chest. It was starting to rise and fall, letting them know he was breathing again. "What the fuck!"
"Eddie? Can you hear me?" Dustin asked, taking hold of one of Eddie's hands. He started to cry what Steve assumed were happy tears when Eddie weakly squeezed his hand.
The four friends watched in anticipation as Eddie started to move more. They were very small movements like the twitching of his fingers or his feet but it was still something. After what felt like hours Eddie's eyes finally started to slowly flutter open and Dustin cried out in relief.
"Get your.. annoying... curly hair out of... my face, Henderson!" Eddie spoke but it came out in a hoarse whisper. It sounded like he hadn't had a drop of water in days.
"You fucking asshole! You sacrifice yourself like a dumbass and you have the audacity to insult me?" Dustin exclaimed quietly, not wanting to overwhelm his friend with too much noise.
Eddie patted Dustins face gently and turned to look at the others. "What... happened? Why am I... not dead?"
"We... we don't know, man. You WERE dead." Steve spoke, his eyes locking on Eddie's.
"Eddie, we need to get you to the hospital. You've lost a lot of blood!" Nancy said, leaving Robin and going to the mans side to check his wounds.
"No! The police... will come... for me!" Eddie managed to get out, sounding scared. "I feel... fine. I swear!"
Nancy stared at his body in confusion. The heavily bleeding, gaping wounds that had been there before were now healed, scarred over and covered in drying blood. "What the hell? This makes no sense!"
