Banashi's sitting under a tree, chilling alone while students are rushing to their next classes. Nate sees this new girl and walks up to her.
"Hey. You need to get to class." He says, forward and strict.
"I'm skipping, I need a break." She responds, her voice quiet and slightly wavering. She kept her gaze down, playing with grass blades between her fingers.
"You can't just skip because you're tired or whatever. Get up and I'll take you to your class." Nate bluntly states. He crosses his arms, looking down at the pink and brown haired girl. He looks her up and down, preparing to scold her for the incorrect uniform, but she speaks before he can.
"I need a fucking break, okay? It's not your fucking business." Banashi tilts her head up, staring at the pink haired guy. She glanced aside for a second, blinking rapidly to stop tears from falling. Seeming annoyed, she rolls her eyes as Nate continues to stare down at her.
"I'm not getting up, you're gonna be late if you keep trying." She dismisses him with, looking back down at the grass and assuming he's going to leave. Nate crouches down in front of her, to which she glares back up at him in response.
"I have a free period, I'm not leaving until you get up." The stressed controller says, his pink eyes locked on her grey ones. The girl snaps, raising her voice at him as her eyes start to water.
"Leave me the fuck alone! It's been a hard first few fucking weeks, okay?! I'm not fucking use to this!" She all but yells at Nate, crying slightly. She glares as the tears drip down her red flushed cheeks, angry and stressed. Nate was taken aback, shocked to have someone talk back to him like that. He feels himself wanting to cry with her, being a sympathetic crier, but is able to hold it back for now.
He struggles to find something to say to her, silence falling between them as Banashi looks away again.
"..You're new here?" He asks, lowering his voice just enough to not sound rude. Banashi simply nods, her breathing unstable and shaky as she cries softly. She curses silently to herself for crying in front of someone she's just met. Nate stands up, rubbing his eyes before speaking again.
"Fine, whatever. If I see you here in an hour, I will be reporting you." He warns her, before walking off, heading to the library. Banashi dismisses his warning, staying there, crying.

By the time the last period rolls around, Banashi is still by the tree. She snaps at anyone who tries to speak to her, even those who she has befriended, too upset to deal with anyone. She gets up eventually and speed walks to her next class, barely looking where she's going. She stares down at her schedule and map, sliding and pushing past people. Nate finds her, supposedly looking for her. Banashi feels his presence and turns around, frowning at the sight of him.
"What the fuck?! You again? Why won't you just fuck off huh?" She crosses her arms, looking directly forward at him as he stands up straight again.
"God, I just wanted to check on you!" He barks back at her, crossing his arms in return.
"You scared the shit out of me!" She growls, aggressively putting her hands on her hips. Nate opens his mouth to respond, but barely makes a noise before Banashi continues.
"Now if you'll fucking excuse me, I'm going to class, like you told me to." She says, then turns and continues walking. Nate follows behind her, not to watch her, but because he has to go the same way to his class. Banashi arrives at her classroom, which happens to be the same as Nate's. She sits alone in the corner, for a few seconds, before Nate sits next to her. She rolls her eyes and starts standing up again.
"Is there a seating plan now? I'll move-" Nate cuts her off.
"No, I chose to sit with you. Sit back down before the teacher arrives." He instructs, not looking to the unstable sceptic. She groans slightly and sits back down.

The lesson goes on with Nate helping Banashi with everything, even without her asking. She lets him help, needing it with how much she's stressing. She silently forgives him for what happened earlier, seeing that she was the rude one in the situation. From there they end up hanging out occasionally during school, never outside of it though. The two consider each other acquaintances, not exactly friends.
