Kyra's POV
School the next day was a blur, all I can remember is Eliana clinging onto Luke's arm for most of the day, it's not that I didn't like Eliana but...Luke deserves better. I said what I said. Eliana is one of those girls who has a mental breakdown when she has to leave her boyfriend for a second and it gets so annoying hearing her whine every 2 seconds, and to make things so much worse she won't let me be near Luke for more than 5 seconds otherwise she'll complain about me trying to steal him away from her which, in a way, I was.
"Lukey!" I mocked as me and Luke walked to science together making Luke roll his eyes
"Come on, Kyra. She isn't that bad once you get to know her." Luke assured, now it was my turn to roll my eyes.
"I'll get to know her after I die." I chuckled
"But that doesn't make any sense--" Luke started to say before the realization hit him "Oh! So that's your way of saying you're never gonna get to know her." Luke nodded
"You're literally the biggest dumbass to ever step foot on this Earth." I laughed, Luke shoved me playfully
"Lukey!" Eliana's voice boomed through the school hallways, Luke and me sighed before turning around
"Hey, Ellie." Luke greeted his girlfriend biting his lip ring anxiously.
"What are you doing with Kayla?" Eliana questioned
"It's Kyra, actually." I quickly corrected
"We have next class together." Luke answered Eliana's previous question
"Well, you can catch up with her later, the ladies at the office want you." Eliana told Luke
"Oh, okay, I'll see you later, Ky." Luke smiled, I blushed at the nickname and nodded before Luke walked towards the office.
Eliana turned towards me, "Okay, listen here, Kyra. I don't know what game you're trying to play but Luke is mine. Okay? So, stay away from him. Boyfriend stealer." Eliana flipped her long blonde hair in my face before walking away.
I let out a huge sigh before continuing to walk to science.
Not long after I arrived to science Luke walked in and sat beside me, "I'm sorry, about earlier." I waved my hand dismissively
"It's okay. I'm honestly used to it." I laughed half-heartedly "But it's probably best if we don't talk when she's around." Luke nodded in agreement before turning to write down some notes.
