Chapter 5 - Hermano

A/N: This chapter is crap, but enjoy!

The next day we were walking trough the Scorch. It was really hot outside (probably because of Newt).
We were almost out of water, since nothing was left in our water bottles. The sky was slowly turning darker and darker.

We've been walking almost the whole day now and my legs were hurting like hell.

'Can we rest?' I sighed and looked at Thomas, who's face was covered in sweat.

'Alright then. I guess we can go to sleep, we've been walking all day already.' Thomas put his backpack and sat down on the ground.

'Night.' I used my backpack as a pillow and closed my eyes.

'Guys, wake up!' Thomas shouted at us and I opened my eyes. It was still dark outside and I was wondering why Thomas woke us up. Before I could ask him I saw lights coming from the mountains. It was about one mile away from us.

'I see lights!' Thomas motioned at them. 'That's were we should go.' He started grabbing this stuff and so did we.

Suddenly I heard a loud thunder noise. I turned around and saw lightening.

'We've got to hurry!' Frypan shouted and we all started running.

The lightening started getting closer to us and we had changes of getting hit.

'Keep going!' Thomas shouted. We were close to the building where the lights had came from now.

Lightening started to hit the ground dangerously close to us now.

'Watch out!' The boys screamed. We almost got to the door of the building, but suddenly I fell on the ground.

I heard a loud bang. What made me fall onto the ground. There was a weird feeling going trough my body, it felt like I was being electrocuted again. I lay on the ground in shock for a few second, my ears were pounding.

I turned my head and looked next to me. Someone was laying on the ground. I quickly got shaken out of my trance and rushed over to the person.

'Minho!' I shouted. I grabbed him by the shoulders and tried to wake him up, but he didn't. He got struck by lightning.

'Guys, help!' I said almost in tears. The Gladers rushed over to me and dragged Minho towards the door, to enter the building.

Once we arrived we carefully laid him down on the ground. 'Minho?' I asked worried. He didn't move and I couldn't see if he was breathing.

Thomas leaned closer to him and suddenly I heard a sound coming from Minho his mouth.
'Thank god.' The boys sighed in relieve went Minho opened his eyes.

'What happend?' He looked at us.

'You got struck by lightning.' Thomas explained.

'Oh.' Minho seemed a little impressed by it and let out a light smile.

'You got us worried.' I said once we pulled him up.

'What's that smell?' Teresa shined her flashlight trough the room we were in. I had noticed it too. It smelled like rotten fish and I didn't know what it was.

Out of sudden a man screamed and he ran towards us. It scared the hell out of me and I took some steps back.

Luckily the man, or Crank, was attached to a chain. More Cranks started to scream as they were all tied up to chains.
