Thankfully, when Vanessa turned up at Bobby's to see if any of her stuff was salvageable, it was empty. Apart from some police tape that was cordoning off the area, there was no one around but her and Balthazar.

"Are you sure you made the right choice, leaving them?" Balthazar asked, stepping over a rather large piece of what was once Bobby's roof. "I mean, where will you go?"

"I'll figure that out." Vanessa waved a hand towards him. She honestly didn't know where she would go but all she knew was that she needed to stay away from the Winchesters. For all their sakes. And for her hearts sake, which currently felt like it was broken in two.

It seems like after the first rocket hit Bobby's house, no more followed after. Perhaps Edgar only had one rocket or else he saw they'd left and decided to give up. But that just meant that most of Bobby's house was still standing and could be rebuilt over time, thankfully.

Vanessa was able to grab some of her stuff. Her phone, some clothes, her extra notes, her snack box Balthazar had given her and any other little thing she owned, which wasn't much. But it was enough.

"Where will you go?" Balthazar asked her again when they were finished. He'd offer her a room in his mansion should she want it, but he wasn't sure she would. It might be too empty for her.

"I know a place, but I can't exactly get into it without the key..."

"And where is the key?"

"In the void of time and space where it will stay until 2013." Vanessa smiled sheepishly and Balthazar just stared at her.

"Naturally." He nodded, picking one of her bags up for her. "Well, I'll take you to my place until you figure out a way to Doctor Who yourself into said void of time and space."

"Sounds good." Vanessa sighed and the two of them appeared in Balthazar's mansion. His very shiny and marble filled mansion that made Vanessa feel like she was in that episode of Spongebob where Squidward goes to the future and everything is chrome.

"Do you need anything else?" Balthazar asked, noticing the sad look on her face and hoping she wasn't about to break down and start playing break up songs. He'd heard all about what happened, why she called him and while he wasn't exactly thrilled to hear about her angelic parasite, he'd stand by her choice to keep Lucifer's grace in her until she got what she needed.

"Cup of tea would be nice." Vanessa chuckled, dropping her bag on the floor and feeling as though she'd break down at any second.

"Course it would." Balthazar flung his arm around her shoulder. "Kitchen's this way and trust me, you're gonna love it."

And love it she did. Vanessa had never seen a more spectacular looking kitchen in her whole life. It was huge and filled with every kind of appliance that a person or a chef could possibly need. But for once in her life, Vanessa didn't feel like cooking anything. She had no one to share it with. Balthazar didn't eat, unless they were her scones... She was pretty much alone for the first time since she'd arrived in this Godforsaken universe.

After a cup of tea and a tour of her new home, for the time being, Vanessa sat in her new bedroom. On her four poster, king sized bed with enough pillows to open a pillow shop, propped up behind her. She had her notes out in front of her, mainly the ones about the Men of Letters bunker that she would very much like to find a way into so she could live there for the time being... This mansion was too big and too clean for her liking.

But she had no idea how to get inside without the key, which was currently stuck in a void with Henry Winchester who wasn't due to arrive for another year or so. And so Vanessa was going crazy.
