My dear Lenore

Good Morrow world and all who inhabit it

Over the mountains of yore spoke of in lore

Out by the overgrove where the old ladies knit

Down by the river bank where some seek the deceased Lenore

Back through the seas of yore

You may hear old tales of lore

Early in the evening you may see how cruel the world can be

Come around the corner to see

Real turmoil in three

Under the starry night sky

Early in the midnight light

Lenore learned the menace of snakes and died

Waves of grief stirred the seas with ample might

One soul above all was affected by the death of the late Lenore

Round and round poor Renaldo paced for the loss of his love

Lenore the woman who would breathe no more

Down in the ground is where she would live now

Dear Lenore

Everyday I think of you for hours at a time

At night I lose sleep thinking of your rhyme

The thought of you saddens me to the core

Here I stand weeping for you forevermore

Should I die someday soon

How would you love me there as you do

At last when we meet again

Let us rejoice and

Love forevermore

Till then I write this letter to you

A little poem to you my love

Keratoplasty will need to be performed or my sight will be gone forevermore

Everyday it is harder to bare this existence without you

My dear Lenore

Everyday how I wish I would disappear  forevermore

To poor Renaldo

Over the past week since they buried you in the ground

Your loss has shaken the entire town

Our love for you and Lenore will carry on forevermore

Under the bridge of yore spoke of in lore the king bowed down his crown

Marauders have looked for the snake who stuck you down

Yet he seems slipperier than anyone could have found

Late at night when the crows took flight

Over the mountains a search party was found

Vile happening occurred that night

Everyone lost sight

Late at night most took fright

Everyone gasped at the sight of Estaban the snake of lore

Not knowing he was not to blame for the death of your love Lenore

Over the mountains Estaban was killed

Resonating Over the mountains of yore his screams filled the air forevermore

Even now his screams over the mountains of yore can be heard by the skilled

When winds died down you and Lenore were mourned

Here we will stand listening to the screams of Estaban forevermore

Everyday our sadness grows weeping for you till the morn

Resting down together in the deep alas you are reunited with Lenore

Early in the morn the king was found by the bridge of yore

Weeping so for the loss of you and Lenore

Evening dawned and many enjoy life no more

Without you and Lenore

I will take my own life soon so I can join you forevermore

Learning the identity of the snake

Likely will be everyone’s grave mistake

Beckoning his unholy might

Everyone will take fright

Tonight I will burn the town down to the snakes delight

Out by the old bakers store

Gathering lumber with help of a Gabor

Evening falls as the town stands tall

The burning shall commence

Here and now

Ending the town to a certain sense
Remainders shall rebuild but how

Forevermore

Over the mountains of yore spoke of in lore

Reminding us of the tale of Lenore

Ending the town of yore

Vile happenings finished this tale of lore

Eerily the fire sparked the sky

Relaying Estaban’s cry

Morning arose revealing a horrid sight to tired eyes

Over the mountains of yore spoke of in lore

Remained the burnt town home to the early Lenore

Every now and then some may hear a tale that is Lenore

(I wrote this poem nearly two years ago it is my favorite poem. I realize it sounds a lot like the raven by Edgar Allen Poe however this was not my intent when I wrote it.)
