The next morning when dani woke up, she said goodbye to cirrus and headed to her room to read the book that sister had given her. She threw herself on her bed after grabbing the book she had put in her desk the day before and opened it to chapter 1.
Chapter 1: simple ghoul facts.
For as long as ghouls have been summoned, it was tradition to wear masks, they are only aloud to show their faces to other ghouls, their summoners and their mates.
Ghouls have simular characteristics to cats, such as: purring, growling, hissing etc.
She hummed in interest and read the rest before flipping to the next chapter.
Chapter 2: Ghoul types
There are 6 different ghoul types: the first one is a fire ghoul. Fire ghouls tend to have a temper and are usually harder to get them to trust you. The longer a fire ghoul doesn't train their power, the more out of hand it may get, so it is better for them to start training their power as soon as possible. When a fire ghoul uses their power to a certain point their eyes will glow an amber color. They can control fires, create fire, and they will be less affected by fire the more they train their power, and they can heat things. When they are angry or upset, heat radiates off of them.
The next ghoul type is a water ghoul. Water ghouls tend to keep to themselves but also loves being with people from time to time. Their powers include breathing under water (with a certain amount of training), controlling water, conjuring water, cooling things, calming people (mainly fire ghouls).
And so on.
She flipped to the next chapter, which was 'ghouls and moons'. She lifted her eyebrow in curious confusion as she started reading.
On certain days, with certain moons, the ghouls will act differnt. Act out. On the blood moon, the ghouls will get feral. It is best humans stay away from ghouls on these moons for their safety. The ghouls will be more anxiety ridden on the last few days leading up to the moon and the day after. They will become bloodthirsty and their minds will be in a completely different state than normal. For earth ghouls, the moon doesn't affect them as much as the others, but still affects them nonetheless. Their eyes will become entirely black when their minds have completely gone into the blood moon mindset.
There was a knock on the door.
Dani quickly put the book on her desk and got up to open the door. 'I'll finish it later' she thought to herself then opened the door. It was rain. She had gotten close to rain throughout the short time she was there.
"Hi rain! Everything okay?" He nodded. "Yeah I could ask you the same thing. you weren't at breakfast so I wanted to see if you were okay. Cirrus had cleaned for you" He said and she silently invited him in. They both sat on danis bed and continued their conversation. "Shit, im so sorry I got distracted. That was so sweet of her, I'll need to thank her for it later." She ran her fingers through her hair, "I finally got got keys today so I'll be able to work more, I felt like I was doing so little when I was just cleaning up after and before every meal" She chuckled at the end of her sentence. "I think the only person's room you should worry about cleaning is sodos.. he's messy." He said with a soft laugh "ughh, I hope the rest of you aren't too messy" She jokingly rolled her eyes.
After talking for a little they both got up and walked out of Danis room and went their separate ways. Dani to find cirrus, rain to his room.
Dani had walked around looking for cirrus before finding her in the common room. "Cirrus, hey!" She was sitting on the couch on her phone, she was the only one in there. Dani sat next to cirrus, "oh hey y/n! You okay? You weren't at breakfast today?" Dani sighed and nodded "yeah, I got distracted. I'm so sorry, you didn't have to clean up for me, but I really do appreciate it greatly." She said but cirrus shut down her apology right away "stop apologizing! It's perfectly fine, I swear." Dani sighed "your too sweet" She jokingly rolled her eyes as she layed her head on her shoulder. Cirrus giggled slightly before going back to her phone.

After dinner everyone was in the common room, cirrus and cumulus sitting on one of the couches, sunshine sitting on the floor directly in between the twos legs. Mountain and rain were sitting on the other couch and swiss and aether were on the other side of the room on bean bags while chatting. Sodo, Jax and dani were sitting on the floor, playing Mario kart. These three were the worst people possible to have play Mario kart together. With Jax and dani having their little sibling fights, and sodo with his anger issues, It was honestly funny to watch.
"HAHA" Jax laugher obnoxiously loud as he hit dani with a banana, causing her to start spinning. Sodo passed her up as well which made her pissed, sodo was laughing since he finally passed her up.
"YOU WHORE!" She yelled, elbowing Jax who was right next to her.
Dani passed up sodo again which made him groan "I SWEAR TO SATAN THIS GAME HAS SOMETHING AGAINST ME." He groaned as he accidently drove over a banana.
He threw the controller down as dani and Jax passed the finish line, Jax in 2nd and dani on 3rd while sodo wasn't even close to finishing. "This game is so fucking stupid." He grumbled. Dani laughed as she said, "your a sore loser sodo" He grumbled more as he got up and threw himself onto the couch that mountain and rain are on, he stretched his legs over on top of theirs and crossed his arms. Sunshine got up onto the couch and motioned Jax and dani to sit in front on them on the floor.
Sunshine ended up playing with Jaxs hair and cumulus and cirrus were both playing with danis.
"Ooo I got an idea!" Swiss said, him and aether both coming over to the others and sitting down on the floor. "So, you guys mentioned how you both enjoyed making music, right?" The twins nodded "you guys should play guitar for us!" Dani hummed in thought. "I havnt played since we left our house, I miss it." She said as the two ghoulettes finished putting two little buns in her hair. "You can use mine!" Aether got up and got his guitar and handed it to dani who layed it on her lap and started messing around with it for a minute before playing a riff that was familiar to Jax, it was the one they were working on before their mother had found out. Jax smiled softly. "That was good! Did yall come up with it by yourselves?" Mountain asked and dani nodded "yeah, we did. It's our most recent one" She said with a smile. "You guys are really good!" Cumulus said as she layed her head on cirrus' shoulder and yawned. She stood up, "imma head to bed, goodnight guys!" She waved to everyone before walking out, sunshine and mountain following after saying their goodnight and goodbyes.
After a while of them hanging out for a little longer, they all said their goodnight and went to their own rooms.
Dani stripped free of her clothes then put on some pajama shorts and a sports bra, heading to the bathroom to brush her teeth and hair before getting into her bed and slowly drifting off to bed.
