I shook my head, slightly smiling.
"I'll do it for you."
I unlocked it. I grab on the seatbelt before it went flying to it's original place, being careful not to put a dent on anything. I put it back gently.
"There. Let's go. Try to put on a friendly face, please? I haven't written Tonks a letter ever since we got bonded. She doesn't know."
He nodded mutely. We both got out of he car, and left our trunks in the car. I knock lightly.
"Coming!"
Tonks replied from inside, evidently scurrying through the living room. She opens the door, surprised to see me.
"Harry!"
She throws herself on me, hugging me tightly. I flinch to her touch, then relief flooded over to me. It's been long since I've felt a warm embrace. I hugged her back, smiling through her freshly shampooed hair. Thankfully, the charm hasn't worn off.
"Oh, I missed you."
She puts her both of her hands on my cheek. She looks next to me, aware of another's presence. Her hands falls slowly as she sees Malfoy. Malfoy looks down, then up to her. Her face twitches.
"Draco Malfoy?"
She says in shock.
"Yes."
He replied shortly. I interrupted.
"It's a long story. I'll tell you all about it if you'll have us?"
She looks back at me, still looking shocked. Hesistating for a bit.
"Of course, come in."
We come in, and no Teddy was in sight. The house was clean, and cheerful. She leads us to the dining table.
"Sit, I'll serve some tea and biscuits. Any requests?"
We both sat down as I looked at Malfoy, wondering if he wanted anything specific. He shook his head at me.
"No, thank you."
I said. She nodded and went to the kitchen.
"Where's your son?"
Malfoy asked, eyeing the room to find him.
"I'm not sure. I think he's in the nursery. I'll ask her later."
She comes back with 3 teacups. She placed them infront of us, and poured the tea in before asking the obvious.
"So..."
I look at Malfoy before proceeding.
"I want to start with er- I'm glad you're taking this with patience."
She looks at me, while holding her cup. fiddling with the handle.
"I've seen stranger things."
She looks at Malfoy. Glancing down to her teacup before looking up at him again.
"How's... how's Narcissa?"
He looks at her sadly.
"She's recovering. The war's really taken a toll on her."
He sighs. She looks down to her cup and rubs it regretfully.
"I'm sorry, Draco. Really."
He simply smiles at her, not reaching his eyes. She turns to me again.
"So, what is there to know about?"
She asked me, curious.
"Me and him, to put it simply, we're married."
