WARNING: The following is an unofficial, fanmade story. Kingdom Hearts is owned by Square Enix, the Walt Disney Company, and Tetsuya Nomura. I'm saying this right away so I don't get my cow dishonored or something.
Welcome back to Toontown News! Don't that hole in the window behind me... Listen, one of those monsters from yesterday somehow got into the sky and did a number on this airship. Luckily it is not very fast, otherwise I would have been sucked out and fall like an asteroid!
But let's get back to the news already. First things first, Gaia is alive! Just too wounded to be able for her to get up, so don't expect her to return to the Galuf Bards for a while... Also, Tonitrus met someone who's got the same powers as him! Who will this mysterious swordsman be?
... Of course it's Riku, even my grandfather would recognize him! Anyway, it's best I get this window fixed, in case things go south again...
"Master, are you sure it's a good idea to go to the airport? There's a chance the people who pilot the planes might be with Mizrabel, preventing us from getting to whatever place we need to get to." Tonitrus asked. The last time he got on a plane was when he moved to Toontown two years ago, when there was still peace between the worlds.
"I know what I'm doing, Tonitrus. You don't have to worry too much about the smallest things.", Riku answered, before the two entered the facility.
The airport was surprisingly empty, which left the blonde boy confused. All the shenanigans he'd had to go through came back to him. The many directions he had asked just to get out, the many times he asked for help just to get out, and so much more. And then, Riku commanded two people Tonitrus had never heard before: "Chip, Dale, you can drop the mask now.". After he gave that order, the interior of the airport completely transformed, becoming something more similar to that of a spaceship. The typical white and blue color of the walls changed to a black with orange outlines, and long galleries with a floating platform appeared where the check-in doors used to be.
"Heh. I'm starting to get the hang of things taking an unexpected turn.", smirked the blonde boy. After some time in the pseudo-lift, the two approached the owners of the supposed airport, who to Tonitrus' astonishment... were two squirrels in workmen's clothes. Riku greeted the two, from which the blond boy discovered the names, respectively of Chip and Dale. Dale made a few jokes here and there, while Dale remained serious throughout, looking a little concerned about the whole situation. The apprentice Wielder fell into awkward silence and tried to process the situation, while Riku updated the two talking squirrels on recent events.
"Riku has a helper? I thought you were more of a lone wolf kind of guy!", said Dale.
"Not an inaccurate observation... But today is different. This is Tonitrus, and he has just awakened the power of the Keyblade. He's got the potential to resist the forces of Mizrabel. He has to..." Riku said, with a look a bit sad.
"I'm glad you've finally found a new one, master! But please, be careful with him. Isignia has become a very dangerous place now, and it will take a lot of training until a rookie like him doesn't get annihilated by what lies between each world.", said Chip, feeling very careful about the whole situation.
"I'm well aware of that. Now, take us to the Gummiship Deck, please." replied the master.
"Okey dokey! This way to the left. We've asked Don- I mean, PK to create a special Gummiship just for you two to use for this journey!" said Dale, feeling like he dodged a bullet by saying something he shouldn't have. Tonitrus was surprised to hear that PK had some knowledge in aircraft construction, or Gummiships to be precise. The Keyblade duo entered the room containing the masked superhero and the vehicle they will be using for the journey, with the color accompanying the black of the walls changing once again, into a light green neon. "Hey, you two! Try not to damage this ship too much, okay? I used every single piece I could find around here", said the masked duck. The vehicle, which was assigned the name of "Twincast", had a grey color, with 6 not very powerful cannons altering between white and black. "It's... Unbelievably stunning! The balance between light and darkness in this is very strong!" reacted Tonitrus with stars in his eyes. "Are you going to join us, Duck Avenger?" asked Riku. "WHAT!? Do you want to let Toontown vulnerable!?", screamed the duck at his face, with an exaggerated amount of rage. The masked hero went back to a calm smile in the blink of an eye and continued, "You have used a Gummiship in the past, so you should be fine!". "Yeah, b-but... Exactly once. Hopefully some muscle kicks in..." said the grey haired boy, in a very concerned tone. The Duck Avenger's clock started ringing, which was his cue to leave. "Very well. Now it's time for me to say, bon voyage! I have someone to rescue, you can already start the ship. Hope you two and Twincast make it back in one piece!", he said, before getting in his cape and vanishing. Riku took a deep breath, and then asked Tonitrus: "You can start the engine now. The button should be the yellow crown-shaped one on the yoke". The blonde boy nodded and entered. Luckily, Riku's muscle memory was taking effect, as the ship started to float, and a door showed up suddenly from one of the walls, showcasing the blue sea of Toontown. The grey haired boy hopped on and took control, with Chip and Dale's simultaneous "Good luck!", the journey to another land has begun.
