Chapter 3

I get into the school and it's a madhouse. There are people running around, making spit balls, and throwing paper airplanes. I hurry past them and go to my locker. That's when I see Calum walking over.
"Move, this is my locker area.", he said.
"No, this is my locker area."
"Wait, your locker is next to mine?! UGH!"
"I'm not so happy either!"
"Whatever, just don't talk to me."

I slammed my locker and ran off with my books. I walked into homeroom and sat down. I see people walk in, and thankfully Calum isn't one of them. Sadly, Paige isn't in my homeroom, so I have no idea who's gonna sit next to me. Turns out nobody sits next to me and I do a little happy dance in my head. Ten minutes later, a boy runs in.
"Your late.", my teacher said.
"Sorry, I-sorry." Turns out it was Calum. Great.
"Well the only seat left open is the one next to Sophia, so sit."
"Great. Will do."

He sat down with a sigh and I made a disgusted face. All of the girls were staring at him and giving him winks, and I threw up in my mouth. If only they new how much of a jerk he is.

Calum's POV
I purposely went to class late. I knew that if I was late, there might be an open seat next to Sophia. I actually have a big crush on her, but I don't think she likes me back. I HAVE been kind of a jerk to her.
"Dude, you better get to class.", said one of my best mates Luke.
"But I want to try to get a seat next to Sophia without looking like an idiot."
"Your plan isn't gonna work. You should just tell her how feel, before someone else goes after her."
"Trust me, it will work."

And it did. I got a seat next to her. I sighed and sat down.
"You look extra ugly today, are you trying to be chubacca?" But to be honest, she looked beautiful today. She kills me.
"I was going to say the same thing it you.", she said. I really wanted to say something, but I just rolled my eyes and got back to work.

Sophia's POV
Ugh, Calum's a jerk. I was so happy when class was over. The next class I had was with Paige, so hopefully we got to sit next to each other. When I got to class, I ended up sitting with Luke, one of Calum's friends.
"Hey I'm Luke.", he said.
"I'm Sophia."
"Hey, aren't you the one who hates Calum?"
"Yeah, we kind of hate each other."
"Oh, so you don't like him?"
"Heck no! Never in a million years!"
"Ok.", he replied in an awkward/relived tone.
"What class do you have after this?", he said after a minute or so.
"Science with Mrs. Williams, how about you?"
"Same. Wanna walk to class together?", he said.
"Sure."

30 minutes later, we walked out of class. We talked the whole way. He seems really nice.

Luke's POV
I hope Calum doesn't see me with Sophia. I know it may seem wrong to go after a best mate's girl, but really she wasn't his girl. He wasn't going to make a move any time soon, so why not? She's really nice, and pretty, and funny. I might ask her out once we get to know each other more.

Calum's POV
I got to my next class and sat down. Luke is in this class, so I'm hoping he sits next to me. But instead he walked in with class with Sophia. They sat next to each other and I felt my face getting hot. I got so mad. How could he do this to me?
