Chapter 9

Sophia's POV
I woke up to the familiar sound of my alarm clock and groaned. Ugh, Monday. I got out of bed and hopped into a shower. After I got in I realized I ran out of shampoo. This day is turning out so well. I washed my body and then got out. I dried my hair and put some dry shampoo in it. I looked at my frizzy hair and decided to just put it up in a ponytail. I got on a pair of black jean shorts, my Panic! At The Disco shirt, and my purple Chuck Taylor's. I looked at the time on my phone. 7:15?! IM GONNA BE LATE!! I quickly put on a little bit of foundation and some mascara and ran downstairs. I got some money for lunch and I grabbed a granola bar for breakfast. I got my book bag and ran out the door. If I walked to school, I would be really late. Thankfully I could catch the bus. There were like five people on it so I got a seat to myself.

"WAIT! I NEED TO GET ON!!" Oh great, the boy I'm trying not to fall in love with.
"Sophia? Didn't expect you to be on here." He sat in the seat across from me.
"I was running late, Calum. I usually just walk."
"Yeah I know." Wait how does he know that. He probably has seen me walk with Paige. Sometimes I forget he's my neighbor.

Calum's POV
I was lucky to get on the bus after I saw Sophia go on. I need to get her to like me. Well, I need to show her that I'm the right guy for her.

"This seat is uncomfortable, can I sit next to you?", I asked her.
"Uh-sure." She scooted over and I sat down next to her. She put in earbuds and kept quiet for a while. I tried not to stare at her, but it was impossible. I like her better without a lot of that makeup on. I tapped on her shoulder and she took out an earbud.

"So, I know we used to be pretty bumpy, but now that we're good, let's get to know each other a little more. How does that sound?", I said.
"Alrighty. What's your favorite band?", Sophia asked.
"That's a hard one. Probably Green Day. Yours?"
"Mine is too!"
"We were meant to be.", I said jokingly, but she looked down and buy her lip. Maybe that wasn't the best thing to say.  Finally, we're at school. I knew I would just make things worse if I walked to her locker with me, so I ran off the bus and caught up with Michael.

"Hey buddy. So, did you two bang yet?", Michael asked. Of course he asks that.
"No Michael, she said she doesn't want to be in a relationship right now.", I said.
"Dang. I'm sorry man. Hey, have you heard from Luke? We're all still in a band together, and we have to go to L.A to record the rest of the album."
"I don't want to talk to him. He's a jerk."
"Maybe we can try to forgive him?" And in that moment Luke walked over.

Sophia's POV
I was walking to class when Paige came up to me.

"Where were you this morning?", she asked.
"I was running late so I took the bus and had an awkward conversation with Calum."
"Ew. Here's my locker. See ya."
"See ya." I continued to walk to my locker and when I got there, of course, Calum was there. Great.
"Oh, hello princess.", he said. Why is he making this so awkward?!
"Uh, h-hey." I was turning red. Everyone was staring at us. Ugh. I didn't say a word to him and I went to homeroom. I sat down and took out my notebook and started doodling. Not long after, Calum came in. He sat down and we didn't say a word to each other. All of the sudden, I felt his hand on my thigh. I didn't know what to do, so I just awkwardly sat there and continued doodling. Then, his hand started sliding up my thigh and that's where I couldn't take it.

"CALUM GET THE FUCK OFF OF ME I TOLD YOU IM NOT INTERESTED!!!", I screamed. His face got really red. The whole class was staring at us. Thank god the teacher wasn't in there at the time.
"Sorry.", Calum said quietly. The class was still silent. After a while everyone got back to their business. I continued to draw, but then I noticed Calum looked like he was about to cry out of the corner of my eye.

"I'm sorry I embarrassed you. But you shouldn't do that to someone.", I said to him.
"It's fine. I deserved it.", he said. The bell rung and I have never been so happy for the announcements to start.

I FEEL SO BAD FOR NOT UPDATING ITS BEEN LIKE MONTH IM SO SORRY.
It's kind of crazy how all of the sudden this story got like almost 500 more reads (I think?) so thank you guys!
You know what I hate. When it's nine in the afternoon and my eyes are a normal size. (If you get this joke I will love you)
