Chapter 4

Calum's POV
I thought I was going to run out and cry. Wait that's not manly. I thought I was going to punch someone in the face. I saw Luke look over at me and I shook my head. Mrs. Willams then assigned our seats. I ended up getting the seat next to Sophia. I was happy at first because I thought I could win her heart, but then I remembered I'm supposed to hate her. Great.

Sophia's POV
Great, I got the seat next to Calum. I wish Luke sat next to me, he's such a great guy.

"Ugh, you again.", Calum said.
"How can you be friends with Luke? Luke's likable and you're not."
I thought I saw him tense up. "Well at least I'm not as bad as you."
"No talking in class! Unless you two want detention!", Mrs. Williams said to us. We shut our mouths and got back to work.
I wonder why Calum tensed up. He hates me and I hate him. Maybe I was actually hurting him? Wait, why do I care? He's going to have to deal with me, we are also neighbors too. I caught Luke trying to get my attention. He held up a funny picture of a penguin surfing. I started laughing, and Calum noticed. He looked over in Luke's direction and frowned. Ok I'm confused. Maybe Luke and Calum are mad at each other.

After school
I walk back home with Paige. We have no classes together, so we decided to talk about everything after school.

"So, have you met any cute guys yet?", Paige said.
"Well, there's this guy named Luke I've been talking to all day. He's in most of my classes and he's great."
"Wait, you mean Calum's friend?"
"Yeah, Calum's friend. Calum and I have every single class together. I sit next to him for most of them."
"That must suck."
"It does. But today I noticed something weird. He looked all sad and stuff when I was talking to Luke. I don't know what's going on."
"Maybe he's in a fight with him. Or mayybbeeee he likes you.", said Paige with a smirk.
"Why would he like me? We hate each other!"
"Suureeee. Well here's my house. See you tomorrow!"
"Bye Paige!", I said as she ran to her house.

Calum's POV
"I hate you.", I said to Luke.
"Well hello to you too."
"You know I like Sophia. Why would you go and try to win her heart?"
"I told you, if you don't go after her now, someone's gonna take her. That guy just happens to be me."
I felt my face getting hot. But he is right, I should've gone after her before.
"Come on, let's go to Michael's house for band practice.", Luke said. Luke, Michael, Ashton, and I have a barn called 5 seconds of summer. One Direction recently contacted us, and this could be the start of our music career.

Sophia's POV
I was studying when all of sudden I heard a loud band playing outside. Don't get me wrong, I love bands, but I was trying to study for a big test. School comes first. I looked out the window to see who it was. It was Calum and Luke with a boy that goes to my school and a random other guy. Luke looked so hot when he was playing the guitar.

"COULD YOU GUYS BE A LITTLE QUIET? IM TRYING TO STUDY.", I screamed outside.
"OH, WE ALL HAVE TO FOLLOW THE PRINCESS'S ORDERS AND BE QUIETER. WE WILL BE RIGHT ON IT YOUR MAJESTY!", Calum screamed sarcastically. I rolled my eyes.
"Hey, be nice Calum. She needs to study, we should respect that.", Luke said.
"Whatever.", Calum said.
"THANK YOU!", I said and got back to studying. They were quiet for the rest of the time u was studying, which was a relief.

That's when I heard a big crash from outside.
