"You should have brought a partner along." Himeno heard from behind her.

She looked over her shoulder, the devil walking behind her as if she was her shadow, hands in pockets and grinning.

In the blasting light of the midday sun Himeno could see all the little specks of dirt and stuff on her own suit, it looked perfect before the sun came out shining like it wanted to kill them with its rays, revealing all little imperfection while the devil's completely black suit still looked tailored too perfection, molded to her body and flawless, not one speck of dust on it.

Now that she stared a bit, all her outfit was one of a notary worker but pure black and a uniform dark shade.... Basically like anyone in the bureau was also required to wear suits but the word notary came to mind for her as she observed the devil with her.... Fitting since notaries are people authorized to perform certain legal formalities, especially some like drawing up or certifying contracts, deeds and other documents for use in other jurisdictions... Something which she was the devil off.

All the outfit fit together.... So seeing sport shoes, tho black, was an eye sore on the devil, elegance clashing harshly with the sporty even if they somehow fit together on the devil's body.

"Hmm? What you say?" Himeno said, catching the last words of the devil but not enough to understand.

"What? Distracted?" The devil grinned, more then aware she was being checked out. "I'll give you a night~." She offered, holding out her hand to shake on a half fair contract, only half joking, laughing when the human slapped it down. "I said you should have brought a partner along."

"I didn't have a choice, I was given this job, me and no one else."

"Maybe your Makima considers me as your partner?" She stepped closer too the human, leaning her head forwards as she walked next too her, hands cupped behind her back. "She sure does know a lot on different devils."

"Will you tell me what you two talked about to piss her off so much?" Himeno never felt as scared as when she heard Makima scream at Sho to leave, she felt like the end of the world arrived and couldn't stop trembling until she left the bureau's building.

"Only if you can give me something in exchange."

"You and your deals...." Himeno sighed softly.

"I live for them~" She grinned. "And I am made for it."

"Would you just tell me one thing?"

"In exchange of what?" She asked again, getting another sigh from the human as she just grinned, mind games being her forte, no matter how simple and uncomplicated they are.

"I won't give another body part."

"Oh no Himeno, I don't want to break you, you are far to important for my survival."

"A question and answer to it in exchange for a cigarette?" Himeno, for once in her life, wanted to slap the lights out of someone as the devil looked so satisfied with herself.

"See? You remember how to make deals." She grinned, holding out her hand until a cigarette was dropped in it. She snapped her fingers muttering 'fire' a flame lit on the tip of her finger because of the deal with the fire devil, lighting the cancer stick and putting out the fire before taking a deep breath and blowing the smoke in the human's face. "What's the question Himeno?"

Himeno thought a bit while they kept on walking towards the job site, something about a badger devil but that didn't bother her anymore, all her mind was focused on what question she'd ask.

She was unsure if the devil would accept another cigarette for another question or if she was being nice this time with such a small ask. Aki, for example, had a simple contract but it cost him quite a bit each time with his skin being eat in big patches. She didn't yet know if the devil was being considerate this time or she could offer anything for anything so she wouldn't waste the question.

There was one question her old mentor constantly mulled over, she'll ask that.

"Is Makima human?"

Sho looked at Himeno, the human looked almost stressed to hear what the devil would answer, a thinly veiled anxiety settling on her face, she didn't like that look on her human's face, it messed with her nicely measured out proportions.

She grinned anyway, taking a deep breath of the cig and flicking the butt of it over her shoulder, having finished it in less then a minute, smoke rising through her teeth as her toothy smile reminded Himeno of a Loan-shark's from kid cartoons from her childhood, those sharp pointy shark teeth.

"No~." Was all she said, a cloud of smoke escaping her along with a chuckle.

Himeno forgot to breath for a second, stopping in place, a question she worked hard to know the answer of, answered so plainly and simply. It took a moment to shake herself 'awake' from her stupor again.

"So she a devil?" She asked, catching up with the devil that didn't slow down her walk.

"One question and one answer, that was the deal." Himeno frowned but dropped it for now, being able to be content with knowing this much for now, she'll think about more deals and questions later.

"Later." She told the devil who just smirked and nodded.

"Nice doing business with you~." Sho said, looping her arm around Himeno's shoulder, the human just let her do so, not as bothered as she looked.

"Concentrate." She simply said, slapping the back of her hand against the devil's chest. "We are here." She looked up towards where this badger devil was supposed to have been sighted at.
