Having her body turn into dust hurt more then Sho let on.
But she didn't want to worry her human more then she already was.
"Ah home sweet home." Sho said with a smile.
"Haven't you already said that once before?" Himeno asked with a raised brow tho with the other hidden by an eye patch it couldn't be seen if it was one brow or both.
"Have I?" Sho grinned more.
"Do you need blood right this moment?" Himeno asked with a tilt of her head, dropping the bloody work knife she had on her on the table Sho leaned against.
"Hmm." She tapped her crumbling chest, a piece poofing in dust when it hit the ground. Sho made a sheepish face before fixing it to a confident one. "Nah, not right away, I won't fall apart right now."
"You literally just did." Himeno pointed at the black smoke still in the air.
"I can still hold out, worry when my arm falls off." She lifted her arm, her whole upper arm black. "But I have time, promise." She reassured.
"Alright, I'll just get changed out of the work clothes and get back too you."
"You do you." Sho mockingly bowed while waving towards Himeno's bedroom, the human gently shoved her, making the devil chuckle.
She crossed her arms and dropped the smile when Himeno entered her room, tilting her head left too right before scratching her neck.
She wandered closer to the balcony window, staring out at it without opening the door to step out, leaning on one leg for support, tapping the other on the ground for a few seconds before stopping, watching the setting sun.
The red and yellows of it pissing her off for some reason she couldn't place but she kept watching it.
She touched her throat, she was by far more in control then many devils but her throat was dry and parched in a way no water could quench, having been eyeing her human's veins a while now, she is a devil, she can't help it.
She was like any other devil before her imprisonment and now, even if she was freed, there'd be forever lost pieces of herself, she'll never be complete because of the void.
She heard a door open, breaking her watchful gaze and look over her shoulder in a half turn.
She couldn't find reason to hate the sunset any longer, the lights of it bouncing perfectly off the human's skin, making it shine brightly and she had a great view of it, only in small short and a tanktop, the forever eye patch still on her face along with still a light patch over the last bite area.
Sho swallowed, almost hearing the heartbeat in her ears, or was it her own she was hearing? She couldn't know and didn't want to know.
Wordlessly crossing the distance between them, grabbing her shoulders and shoving her against the nearest wall.
Himeno knew she should have been scared of those glowing purples cast in shadows as Sho was back too the light but she couldn't find herself scared of the devil, not with that look of hunger in her eyes, not with the blood dried on her skin and clothes, not with the disheveled look, she just couldn't be scared.
"Don't kill me." She simply said, still trying to offer her arm but it was grabbed and slammed into the wall as she felt her skin being to punctured on the side of her neck.
Himeno was surprised but not overly mad, just surprised currently, momentarily thinking of old biology lessons in school, when life was much simpler, the part of where the arteries were in the human body.
She didn't know where to put her eyes, looking between the familiar parts of her home, parts she's seen hundreds of times in her life, and the devil's form.
Those unsightly black parts retreating, almost as if the latest created spot disappeared first and the normal skin was crawling back in.
She even smiled, lifting her free hand too the back of the devil's head, gently resting it there, following the darkness with her eyes.
The vice grip on her shoulder and arm hurt but she couldn't complain, despite it all, still not having found her voice.
And by the time the pain almost seemed to subside, that was when the devil chose to detach her teeth and the stinging pain was back.
"Have you forgotten to breathe?" Himeno ask amused, hearing the devil out of breath, fighting back a shiver tooth and nail as the cold breath washed over her skin.
Tho that shiver did get the best of her as a tongue licked up the blood dripping down her neck, she grabbed a part of her top and pressed it on the wound.
The devil leaned away, seem glowing eyes looking at her, so close, face too face.... If just....
"Get that wrapped up." The devil cleared her throat, scratching it, leaning away and more awkwardly then she'd move usually, letting the human go.
Himeno took a second, blinking rapidly.
"Oh yeah." She awkwardly chuckled and pushed off the walls. "So.... I'll be going." She said, shuffling to the bathroom.
Sho watched her go before giving herself a slap all Latino mothers would be proud off, and she didn't even use a flipflop.
She rubbed her face before pinching the bridge of her nose a moment and pressing her thumb between her brows, hard, other hand on her hip all the while that went on.
"A bit of self control Sho." She muttered, looking at the closed door, hearing running water behind it. "She doesn't deserve to be used like that."
Himeno stuck the sticky patch on her neck after she had cleaned it off from all the blood.
She put her hand over it, looking in her eye in the mirror with a sigh.
Looking at her skin, not bothered by the bruises that would form on it, she even smiled at them before looking in the mirror again, chasing all the thoughts away.... Well, not all of them.
"That was close... And I almost wish it had been closer." She whispered to herself, touching her neck again.
