I help Leo and the rest of them unload the groceries and put them in their proper places.

"Via, those go in the pantry". I look in my hand about to put the cereal in the fridge. I smile awkwardly and put it in the cabinet.

"Who puts cereal in the fridge?" I can hear Leo snickering behind me. I shove him and he drops the paper towels on the floor.

"Gosh, soo mean early in the morning". He rubs his arms and I scoff.

"That's what you get for being a jerk". He rolls his eyes and we finish up putting the groceries away.

"Thank you for helping us V, we spend forever in the store". Valen chimes in. I smile at him and sit down on the couch. Turning the TV on, I scroll through the menu and find the baking show from the other night.

"Hey, the baking show is on". Valen sits besides me and I can Leo scoff from the kitchen. I turn the volume up, and ignore him. Mr. M comes and joins us. I put on the subtitles and he smiles at me. Gesturing to Valen, he points to the TV.

"He says thank you for putting the subtitles on, he enjoys watching this show as well". I smile and nod, waving to Viktor. We all watch the TV, and after a few episodes, I excuse myself and grab some snacks and go upstairs.

I open my door and see Ash sleeping on the bed, soundly. I smile and shut the door, setting the snacks down on the other nightstand. I watch some shows on my phone to pass the time by.

Meet me outside.

I stare at my phone and quietly leave the room, shutting the door and heading downstairs. "Where are you headed to?" Leo asks from his room. I glance in his direction and shrug. "Just wanted to go outside and enjoy the air". He gives me a questionable look and mutters 'ok' before going back to whatever he was doing. I head downstairs and the TV is still playing the baking show, everyone else is on the couch watching it, laughing. I open the sliding glass doors and head outside. The cool breeze hits my face and I hear a whistle. Looking in the direction it came from, I see a figure barely behind a tree. I walk over, making sure no one is looking, and feel the grass under my feet.

After a few minutes, I reach the inside of the treeline and see him standing against a large oak tree.

"Afternoon, Ottavia". His glasses cover his eyes, dressed in all black, he gets away from the tree and walks further in the woods.

"I see you really are keeping an eye on me". I respond nervously. He chuckles, his deep voice echoing through the empty spaces.

"Of course, as I promised". He stops after a few feet and turns around. He extends his hand and I cautiously look at it.

"Here, take it." He dangles the necklace in front of my face and I slowly go to grab it.

"Oh, but before you do" He pulls it closer to him. "I see you have your pet living with you, how's that going?" I glance back to the house and can see my bedroom window from here, the curtains still open.

"He's not my 'pet' he just needed a place to stay while he's down here". I advert my eyes from his and focus on the ground. Chuckling, he bends down in front of me and I take a step back.

"So all is well with the demon?" I nod my head and he grunts." You see, i've heard from my subordinates that he is currently human, is this true?" I snap my eyes up to him, grinning he locks eyes with mine.

"So it's true, fascinating. This demon, why is he in the mortal realm?" Taking his glasses off, his pitch black irises stare deeply into mine. After a few seconds, he smirks.
