Chapter 46 - Never two without three

   Yoko had been going to Agasa for a week now. She wasn't completely used to it, but at least she felt safe.

   -How about going camping this weekend? Genta suddenly offered.
   At these words, the girl with the glasses nearly choked on her meal.
   - That would be a good idea! Mitsuhiko accepted.
   - You will come, won't you? Ayumi asked turning to the three rejuvenated.
   Ai shrugged, knowing she wasn't going to have a choice. Conan, however, just nodded.
   -Looks like Tomura-san won't come. Noted the redhead aloud.

   Everyone turned to the concerned one who had a certain discomfort, as if the whole class was staring at her. However, it was only 3 children, in front of her.
   -Why don't you want to come, Yoko-chan? Asked the girl in the headband.
   The eyes of the children were insistent. They really wanted to know the reason for the refusal.
   -Huh... Started Yoko by biting her fork. The first time we went camping...I ended up injured and locked up with Conan-kun and Agasa-hakase... The second time...was in the caves where Conan-kun got got shot at and we almost died... To be honest... with that... I think every time I go camping... It's going badly...
   There was a silence within the group, Genta, Ayumi and Mitsuhiko taking time to remember the events. They had since moved on and put that aside.

   -It's not always that something happens. Finally reassured the boy with freckles.
   - Yeah...
   -Try to come one last time! Insisted the largest of the group.
   - Yeah...
   The tied-up brunette was unconvinced. She would probably be better off alone than camping, especially if something happened.
   -Try to give one last chance. It's not that bad even if it doesn't look like it. Tried to convince Conan.
   - Yeah...

   No, nothing was going to convince her. She did not want to. But her comrades didn't seem to have anything to say about it, they were motivated to go camping.
   -We'll talk about it tonight in Agasa-hakase! Mitsuhiko announced.
   -I'm eager to ! Added Ayumi.
   Yoko sighed as she continued to eat.

   The former high school girl placed her head against the car window sulkily. She hadn't wanted to come, but she had had no choice. It was Jinpei himself who obliged her by simply saying "It will do you good". Nobody left her the choice.
   Afterwards, indeed, it could be pleasant and relax her especially in view of the current situation in which she was. But, that's if nothing like the first two times she had camped happened.

   - Hey! In front of you ! Conan exclaimed.
   The car braked suddenly, Yoko hit her head against the window.
   -What is happening ? she asked, hand on her head.
   -Sorry, I hadn't seen the vehicle just in front... Agasa apologized.
   He hadn't seen her? Yet it was quite conspicuous. To wonder how the man could not see.
   - You could have been more careful! Genta grumbled.

   The latter was the first to get out of the car to get a closer look at the vehicle in front. He was followed by the professor and his classmates.
   - This car is big! exclaimed the bulk of the group.
   -It's a motorhome. Agasa explained.
   This seemed to interest the three children a lot, and a little less rejuvenated the three. However, the girl with the glasses remained somewhat curious, although it was not the first time that she had seen such a vehicle.

   -Wow! It must be great to go camping with a car like that! Ayumi exclaimed, looking inside the RV.
   -But I don't see anyone inside... Mitsuhiko observed, doing the same as her friend.
   -Oe, kids! Don't dirty the car with your dirty hands! A blond man scolded them.
   -It's the precious car of one of our friends! Explained a woman following him, with short hair. Right, Haruka-san? She asked, turning to the concerned, a woman with long hair.
   -Uh... Yes... But they can touch it, it's my uncle who lent us this car and he's not the type to get upset about that... explained the so-called Haruka.
   -Ah... You're nice to children whereas when I smoke in the car, I'm struck down on the spot... Sighed the man.
   -It's because you smoke too much! replied her friend.
   -It's her kindness that made you fall in love, huh, Reiji! The second girl scoffed.

   Yoko could not help but let out a slight sigh with a smile. These people didn't seem unpleasant. It was a change from the people in the castle or the criminals in the cave.

   - Hey! Yasumi-chan! You can come see for a second!! I think the ember is good! A second dark-haired man intervenes.
   Everyone turned to him, the children wondering what it was all about. Or rather, Genta wondered if it was food.
   - We are going to eat... Do you want to come with us? The dark-haired woman offered with a smile.
   She had noticed the children's faces.
   -It doesn't bother you ? Agasa asked, looking a little surprised.
   -Of course not. We have enough for everyone.

   The last arrival of the group of friends approaches Haruka, looking a little disturbed.
   - But that's what we saved for dinner... He said.
   -Oh ! Don't be stingy! If there's any missing, we'll just have to go buy some with the money in Haruka-san's wallet! Is not it ?
   The concerned looked at her friend, Yasumi, nodding with a slight nod. Their newly arrived friend sighed slightly. He apparently had no choice but to agree.

   Agasa and the children therefore headed towards the camp of those who invited them, from where a good smell came. It was a barbecue, which made Genta's mouth water, as well as Yoko's.
   She was hungry, and couldn't hide it, especially now that she was a little more relaxed. Until now, the idea that something was going on during this day had taken away her appetite a bit. And Jinpei didn't force her to eat that morning. Anyway, he had left quite early.
   -It looks good ! The largest of the group announced
   -That's top quality meat! Mitsuhiko noted.
   -Get comfortable ! Do not hesitate ! Yasumi invited them.
   It was in general agreement that everyone sat down on the ground.
