- Thank you for coming! We hope to see you soon ! Greeted Kyoka.
Right after that, she locked the restaurant doors and walked into the room that Yosuke was cleaning. She sat down on a table and put her head in her arms.
-I'm hungry... squealed the schoolgirl.
-Take.
Asahi, her adoptive father and restaurant cook, placed a plate near her. The girl straightened up immediately.
-Thank you!
- Yosuke-kun, come eat too!
-OK...
The young boy leaned his broom against the wall and landed next to his sister. At the same time, Akahara entered the room.
-You have still taken colors, Kyoka-chan. she noticed.
-She was sick ? Asked the woman's husband.
-She had just run in the rain, it must have been because of that.
Kyoka stared at her plate. She had managed to forget this story, this murder, but she had just been reminded of it.
-I'm going to bed... she announced, getting up.
- Aren't you going to eat more? Akahara asked.
She just shook her head and headed for the door leading to the stairs.
- Good night fat! Yosuke said.
- Good night babes! replied her sister.
Kyoka leaned against her bedroom door once it closed. She didn't move, remaining silent, staring at the ground.
-... Tomorrow I'll call the police...
She sighed before slapping her cheeks.
- They won't be able to find me! They must certainly hide so that the police do not find them!...
She smiled and stretched before going to change and into bed. Then she stared at the ceiling for a moment.
-FBI... Why was there an agent here...? And how did these guys know she was one of them...?
A shiver ran through her body, so she pulled her blanket up to her face. She then turned her head, staring at the pictures hanging on her wall, lit by the moon. There were a lot of pictures of landscapes or plants, there were some with animals and others just her and her friends, her family... Finally, she turned her eyes to her camera.
Wait... At that moment, I was wearing my uniform and my camera... Maybe they think I took a picture... Wait... With my uniform they... No.. Impossible... They won't be able to find information about me so easily...
It was while thinking that she fell asleep.
Two days had passed since that murder case. Kyoka still hadn't called the police, having forgotten to do so.
The schoolgirl woke up. Once straightened, she looked around her before sighing at the idea of going to high school. She got up despite this, grabbed her uniform and changed. Then she went down to join the kitchen. After noticing that nothing pleased her in what there was to eat, she left to join her high school.
-He's not here today either? He really has the right to be sick... The girl sighed, sitting on her table.
All the class spoke in small groups, except Kyoka who was alone. Since the day before, Akihiko had not been there. What intrigued her friend was that he was rarely absent, and above all, who hadn't told the school about this.
The door opened on the professor coming to ensure the first hour of course. Everyone returned to their places. The man then looked at the whole class, spotting quite easily who was absent.
-Fujiwara Akihiko still hasn't come back from what I see... Could someone go to his house to give him the sheet that I'm going to distribute to you?
Kyoka stood up immediately.
-I will go!
-Thanks very much.
She sat down again, before staring at the window. She couldn't hide her concern.
Kyoka walked in the direction of where his best friend lived. She was walking quickly. The sooner she got to Akihiko, the sooner she would know why he hadn't come.
When she arrived in front of the young boy's house, she knocked on the door. It was a lady who opened the door.
-...Kyoka-chan...!
-Hello madam... Hum... In fact I came to give a document to Akihiko-kun... And also to hear from him...
The woman looked at the schoolgirl in front of her before taking a dark look.
-I see... He's not with you... She sighed.
-Eh ?
-Two days ago, he said to check that you had returned home before the downpour intensified... I haven't had any news since... The police think he stayed. Sleeping at someone's house without warning but...
Two days ago ? It was... If he followed me... He wouldn't have...
Kyoka's blood froze. She thought of the worst, although she didn't want to. If he too had taken the alley to go faster, he might have run into them.
She took a deep breath before running away. She wanted to get to the bottom of it and had to go back. She didn't call the police when she should have.
-It... It must be by the...
The girl with the tied hair was no less than the infamous shortcut she had used. She moved forward to enter the alley. The latter was forbidden to access by the police, certainly the time to settle this case of member of this FBI agent.
I'll check that first...I'm definitely wrong!
She grabbed her phone and looked through her contacts for her friend's number. Once found, she called him. No answer. She therefore checked that no one was looking at her and passed under the yellow tape closing the passage. She walked along the wall and found the cul-de-sac in which she had seen these two strange men. Finally, taking her courage, she entered it, not without chasing the images that came back to her head.
Blood splatters were present on the wall. On the floor was drawing a shape, or rather two. Those of human bodies. Immediately, Kyoka prayed that one of the two markings didn't match Akihiko. She tried to call him once more, but only got his answering machine again.
Don't let it be him... Please...!
She started shaking.
I have to notify the police!
She quickly dialed 110 and called. A person picked up.
- "Police yes hello? What is your emergency?"
-In fact... The murder that took place two days ago... I witnessed it... It's... It's two men dressed totally in black who are responsible... One with long gray hair... And...
She stopped. This story must have been ridiculous in the eyes of the police. Who could believe her?
-N... No nothing... Sorry for the inconvenience...
She hung up before leaving the alley. If anyone saw her, she'd be in trouble.
Akihiko-kun... Come back soon...
She glanced behind her, hoping her best friend had just disappeared.
