It's a week after and a few days from Halloween and Mia and I are ready to share the news to our friends and family, also with our fans. So since it's Sunday we organized a family lunch. "Hello!" I hear my mom saying as she walks in our house. "Grandma!" "Hi sweetie!" She says picking her up "Hi ma" I say kissing her cheek and grabbing the two bags she was carrying and placing them on the kitchen counter taking out the chicken salad she made. "Your sisters are five minutes away and Scott is grabbing the drinks" "Ok! I'll give him a hand, Mia is still getting dressed I think" I walk outside and greet my brother before helping him out with the couple bottles of wine and juices for the four kids. "Ehy sons!" "Hi dad" scot and I both say, we quickly hug him and walk in "I swear if you are gonna get the cold Chris..." Mia says scolding me for going outside with just my light jumper on. It's the end of October so boating is definitely getting ready for the winter "Sorry sweetheart" I say giving her a kiss on the lips. Once Shanna, Carly Ryan and their kids arrive we all sit down at the table and start to eat what my mom and Mia cooked for everyone, and just as usual it was perfect.
"Ok, so who's ready to find out the baby's gender?" Mia asks "Me!!!" Everyone shouts "Ok!" I say grabbing the fairly big enlargement of the ultrasound with the 'I'm a boy' writing on it "close your eyes and open them when we tell you to" "In 3...2...1...open!" Mia says The look at what I'm holding and read before they start to cheer, a bunch of 'I knew it' can be heard, Scott's being the loudest. "Congrats!" Shanna says hugging the both of us "Are you happy your getting a brother?" My dad asks Grace who's currently sitting on his lap. "No!" She says before storming off, and we all look at her "That was..." Scott says "I'm sure she'll come around" my mom tells us before hugging Mia close to her and once she does I hear a little sob escaping Mia's mouth "Oh baby" I tell her stroking her head "it's ok, Grace will be fine with it" "How do you know? Maybe she doesn't even want this baby, maybe she doesn't even want me..." she sobs out "No honey, why are you saying this, she loves you, you're her momma" "I need a moment" she says walking off just like our toddler did a couple of minutes before "Mia..." I say "Let her go" my mom says rubbing my back "I..." "I'm gonna check on her don't worry" Carly says "And I'll get Grace" "It's probably just her hormones sweetheart" my mom tells me as I sit back down on the couch "Yeah..." "I'm happy it's a boy uncle Chris!" Miles says jumping on my lap "Yeah me too!" "Oh yeah?" "Uhuh!" The both confirm I can't help but smile at them before lightly tickle their necks, then Stella joins in.
After a few minutes Shanna comes back hand in hand with Grace. "I'm sowwy daddy" she says trying to climb up my legs. My nephews and nice move to make Grace some space "It's ok baby girl" I tell her hugging her close "Where's mommy?" She says looking around "She's with auntie Carly" "I didn't mean it...I don't want you to get upset" "I'm not upset sweetie! Maybe we should go talk with mommy tho" I pick her up and walk towards the downstairs bathroom, gently knocking on the door "Yes?" "It's us, can we get in?" "Yeah..." Carly opens the door for us and smiles before walking out. "Mama I'm sowwy, don't cwy!" Grace tells Mia as she wiggles out of my grasp to go to her "Momma is ok baby, it's just that sometimes silly things make me upset...it's really not your fault baby girl" Mia reassures her making her sit on her lap "A bwother is fine, but he can't steal my toys!" "He won't steal your toys, but maybe you'll still have to share. But don't worry it'll pass some time before he can play with your things" "I can share..." she says happily "hi baby bwother!" She says leaning her face closer to Mia's belly "That's sweet of you" Mia says "You feel better babe?" I ask pressing a kiss to her forehead "Yes, I'm sorry for earlier" "That's ok, just silly hormones" I say smiling
Once the afternoon ends with a happy dance out and karaoke in front of the tv, my families goes back to their houses and we finish to get the kitchen clean. We then sit back on the couch and decide to, first FaceTime Brian and Bonnie to tell them it's a boy and their reactions was priceless. Brian dropped his phone as soon as he heard it and started to do an happy dance that was partially caught by his phone while Bonnie just stared at us and grabbed a little bleak and grey onesie telling us she knew from the beginning. "Should we text the avengers?" Mia asks "Yeah, even tho Bonnie most likely already calls Seb and told him" I laugh, and yes Seb and Bonnie are together, have been for a few months and they are doing really good, bonnie is even thinking to come back to the USA cause she feels like he's the one, and we are so very happy for them.
