76 - Everything is ready

*Chris pov*

"Come on..."
"Ow shit!" I say looking at my thumb
"Baby? What are you doing still up?"
I look at the door and see a sleepy Mia against it
"I wanted to piece this together..."
"Now? It's...2.37 am ..."
She's right it's late and I'm building cribs...I've brought the components in the little basement we have and started to built it there so no one would hear the hammer or any other object or device I need to use.
"I couldn't sleep so..."
"Let's get back to bed...come one big guy" she says extending her arm to me.
I stand up and kiss her head before letting her slowly leading me upstairs into our bedroom.
"Why couldn't you sleep?"
"I don't actually know"
"Mhm...how's your thumb?"
"You saw that?" I ask blushing
"Yup" she says giggling
"It's throbbing a bit..."
"Go put it under cold water and come back to me"
"Yes ma'am!"
I watch her as she lays back down in bed and gets comfy before I enter the bathroom and do as I'm told.

Then next morning Scott came and help me setting everything up in the nursery and at lunch time we were done, we ordered Mexican and ate it in our backyard as grace and Tommy were playing with Dodger.
"You know what you wanna do for your birthday? It's only in a few days..."
"A very relaxing day with the family it's good for me, plus Mia gets tired so easily so..."
"We thought so...mom's already planning"
"For real?"
"Yeah...her and the girls are choosing what to cook and everything, just be at her house the day of your birthday at noon...that's what she asked me to say to you..."
"Ahahaha ok thanks, I'll make sure to call her later"
"Ok, I think I'll go..."
"Thanks for the help bro!" I tell him as we're on the door
"No problem, say hi to the kids and Mia when they wake up from their nap"
"Yeah!"
I wave him goodbye as he starts the car and drives off.

I walk into the living room where Mia is asleep but before going to her I check on the kids in their rooms.
And there they are...just like their mommy asleep!
Going back downstairs I get dinner ready and put it in the oven then join Mia on the couch.
"Mhm"
"Go back to sleep baby"
"But dinner...it's" she says taking a look at her watch "6.24"
"In the oven cooking"
"Thank youuuuu"
"Sleep for another half and hour"
"Sing to me?"
"I found a love, for me

I fucking love this woman so much I can't even explain it!
