Always My Luna

      POV Damon
     
      I pushed Jasper harder than I have ever pushed him before.  We came around a bend in the road and that's when my world ended.  Jasper stopped and dropped to the road and I could hear him whining.  We couldn't believe our eyes.  Levi's car, completely smashed in the front and a tree standing tall and unforgiving in front of it. 
      "C'mon Jasper, we have to see.  I don't want to as much as you don't, but we have to see if she is hurt."
      "Mate is hurt!"  I heard Jasper half whine and half growl.
      I hear the pounding of multiple paws behind me and I realize that I must have said something in the mindlink and now I have all the search groups coming up around the tree and Levi's car.  I change back into my human skin and start to walk up to the car when I feel a strong hand on my arm.  I look up to see Jason looking at me with concern in his eyes.  Shaking his head no, letting me know that he will look in case it's bad.
      I nod my head at him and he slowly makes his way up to the car.  People are either still in their wolf form or have shifted to their human forms and are eagerly awaiting what Jason finds.  I,myself, and so nervous and scared and anxious that I find myself cracking my fingers over and over and shifting from foot to foot. 
      After what feels like an eternity, Jason opens the car door and the scent of blood is overwhelming.  I can no longer stand there and I run up to the car hearing yet ignoring the yells of my pack telling me to stop.  Jason turns to look at me just as I come to the car and I see the look of concern in his eyes and push him out of the way only to find the car empty but there was so much blood. Her blood.  My mate's blood.  Blood that would not have been spilled if I had just manned up and stood up to my father.
      I love Levi, I always have.  I remember when we found out about her pack and I was sad for her but happy that she would be staying with us and I would get to see her all the time.  I made sure to hang out with her when ever I could and my heart was hers.  I knew already that we were mates, but her innocence was so attractive for me I was willing to take her as my chosen mate if for some reason we were not mates. 
      Then we got older and she got curvier, more beautiful, her kindness for everyone was incredible and I knew she would make the perfect mate and Luna.  I remember the day I decided to tell my father that I loved Levi and she would be my mate and the Luna no matter what.  That was the day he destroyed my soul, destroyed what Levi and I could have had.  That was the day that he told me to stay away from Levi because I was to be mated with Tamara for the peace of the packs.  When I argued, he threatened to banish her and I would be Alpha commanded to forget about her.
      That's when I knew I had to ignore Levi, if I wanted to see her, watch her, be close to her in some way, secretly love and protect her.  I had to make her hate me.  I knew it would going to be hard and would k*ll me each time she looked at me with hurt, but I had to save her.  She would become rogue and would surely die.  Of course I did not know then that she was a white wolf, but it didn't matter.  White wolf or brown wolf, she was mine.
      I snap back from my memory and look around the car.  I smell her, but I also other smells.  Male smells. Damn it!!  I need to find her, Jasper is screaming and clawing to come out so he can follow the fading scents and find her. 
      We follow for a couple miles until we come to a fork in the road.  One way leads us to the Dark Forest and the other leads us to Howling Moon pack, one of the strongest and deadliest packs around.  I am just about to go down the road to the Howling Moon pack when I get a mind link from my father. Tamara's father is at the pack house and is demanding to see me. 
      "Let him keep demanding, we need to find mate." Jasper growls.  I agree until my father tells me that the Alpha is threatening to hurt Levi's aunt and uncle if I don't come back immediately.  How the hell did he get to them?  They should have been with the search groups?
      "Fine father, I am coming back, but he will not be the one uttering threats any longer."
      Jasper and I signal to Jason to follow me as well as the others and I leave a couple of my warriors to guard the car in case she comes back or someone tries to take the car.
