Always My Luna

  Damon looks down at me with eyes no longer full of anger or hate but they are filled will sorrow and regret.  "I'm sorry Levi, it's not my choice.  I, Damon Jacobs, future Alpha of the Black Moon pack, reject you, Levi Heart, as my mate and Luna."
  I immediately feel pain, lots of pain in my heart and my head.  I can hear Claire howling in my head, her heart is broke just as much and she just showed up in my life, I feel so bad for her. "I'm sorry you got me as a human, Claire.  You deserve so much better."
  "No huni, it's not your fault and trust me, this isn't over." She growls in my head.
  "You stupid, dumb, egotistical asshole.  She is a thousand times better than that whore Tamara and yet you chose her over your true mate?  What the fuck Damon?" Jason yelled at him.
  After I collected myself, I walked over to Damon and looked him in the eyes again. "I, Levi Heart of the Black Moon pack, accept your.."
  "LEVI, DON'T!"  My auntie yelled. "You can't.  You're a white wolf.  If you accept his rejection, it will kill your wolf."
  I looked at my mate, or ex-mate, with now tears in my eyes, "You knew!?  You fucking knew and you were going to reject me and kill my wolf!  You would be killing me too!"  Damon's eyes are wide and his mouth opens and closes with no words coming out.
  I look at everyone else, "forgive me" with tears flowing down my cheeks, I run past everyone and run to the pack house. 
  The party is still going although some have left there are the party animals that live for these celebrations and are singing at the top of their lungs to songs with all the wrong words.  Normally I would giggle but not tonight.  Tonight is the best worst day of my life.
  I run up to the guest room and grab my things then run out to my car and drive away like someone is trying to kill me.  Wait..I guess someone is, my mate, or rather ex-mate.  I'm driving so fast and crying so hard that I miss a corner in the road and collide with a tree.  The last thing is remember seeing is red filling my eyes.  Blood.  Then everything goes black.
  I open my eyes and it's so bright that I have to blink my eyes a few times to adjust to the blinding light.  Once I can open my eyes, I hear a soft feminine voice. "There you are, child.  Welcome back to the land of the living, sort of."
  "What do you mean sort of?"  I look around and everything looks like a prism, beautiful colours, changing and fading in and out.  It's so mesmerizing that I fail to notice the woman standing a couple feet away form me.
  "Oh, I'm so sorry.  I didn't see you.  Wait, are you..Selene?  Are you the Moon Goddess?"  My eyes grow wide. "Am I..you know..dead?  What about Claire!?  Is Claire ok?  Oh Moon Goddess, she wanted to be with a human so bad, but I failed her.  I was not worthy of her.  Please, please send her to someone who is worthy.  Someone wanted. Someone loved."  I say the last part in a whisper but I know Selene hears me.
  "Oh silly child.  I did send her to someone worthy.  I sent her to you.  You did not fail anyone, my sweet child.  I very rarely make mistakes, I mean I sometimes do, but I did not with you."
  "Oh, I think you did when you sent me my mate.  He doesn't want me.  He wants someone else."
  "Child, things are not always what they seem.  Trust me, I sent you the right mate.  Things will reveal themselves in due time. Now, I am going to send you back, and Claire is just resting.  She is a strong wolf and will help you, and the rest of your pack.  Remember, don't just everything based on what you see, think about what you can't see."
