  "C'mon man.  You've been killing yourself with work since Levi left.  I know you didn't hear what you wanted to hear on the phone call, but what did you expect?  You broke her heart, dude.  She's not going to come running back to you just like that."  I give Jason a glare and Jasper growls.  Jason puts his hands up in surrender and then sits in a chair in front of my desk.  "Look, all I'm saying is give her time.  Let her heart mend and let her get over the anger and hurt she's got going on right now.  Besides, her aunt and uncle are here, plus Scarlet.  You know she will come back, she loves them too much not to.  Plus, there's me."  He smirks and tugs at his collar on his shirt.  Jasper is ready to lunge over the desk at him and my eyes are no longer green.  Jason laughs it off and stands up, walking around the chair and heads to the door.  "Hey, see you got the door fixed.  Nice.  Maybe next time, use the door handle, that's kinda what they were made for."  He chuckles like he's on stage at some open mic comedy bar.  I roll my eyes and sigh deeply and loudly, proving my annoyance in him is getting high and my patience is very low.  "Ok, ok..enough with the jabs.  I promise, for the next hour anyways.  So hey, Dom, Ryan and I are heading to the mall.  Ryan thinks he needs some toys for him and Scarlet, "he wiggles his eyebrows.  Yes, I know what kind of toys he means and I have zero interest in going there.  I shake my head and look down at the papers in front of me. "No, no, no..you're not going to bury yourself in paperwork.  You're gonna go have a shower and wash your stinky ass body, shave that muskrat off your face, style that mop on your head, put something else on beside sweatpants and concert t-shirts and you're coming to the mall with us.  Dom and Ryan can go into the sex shop, you and I will have some away from the pack time.  I don't give a shit if we end up in Sephora checking out shades of lip stick, but you are getting the fuck out of here for a couple hours.  Now go.  If you don't, I'll tell Luna you sit in here and jerk off to a picture of Levi."
 
  I raise my head and glare at Jason.  "Fine, fuck.  I'll go get ready but I can't stay away too long.  I've got to finalize these contracts for the builders for the new arena."  I put my pen down and gather my papers neatly on my desk. Looking up at Jason, I chuckle, "Why are we friends?  How?  How, out of all the millions of wolves out there, how did I pick you to be my best friend?"  I get up from my office chair and start to walk around my desk.
 
  "Because of my lovely personality.  Admit, you love me."  I look at him, frowning. "Dude, in a brotherly love kinda way, not a Brokeback Mountain kinda way, chill.  Damn.  Now, c'mon stinky, we've got a mall to check out."
 
  I shake my head and chuckle at the way Jason can be so chipper.  It took a long time for him to get back to the way he was after he lost his mate. I'm glad the bitch is not in our pack anymore, but it still didn't make it an easier on him.  I hope he finds a second chance mate. He may be a serious pain in the ass, but the guys got a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.  If you needed a dollar and it was his last one, he'd give it to you, no questions asked.  THAT is why he's my best friend..he's a one of a kind.
 
  "Hey, Damon, you good?  You zoned out or something."
 
  "Huh?  Oh, ya.  Ya man, I'm good.  I'm gonna go have that shower.  I'll meet you downstairs in 30."
 
  "Sounds good.  I'll go grab something to eat.  It's been an hour since breakfast.  I'm starving."  He rubs his belly and sure enough, the damn thing growls.  But he's a big boy, a wall of muscle and 6'4".  All of us wolves eat a lot as we burn a lot of calories.
 
  I chuckle at him and start to walk away shaking my head.  Then I stop and turn around looking at Jason, "Hey Jay?"  He stops and looks at me.  "Thanks man.  Thanks for being there and for being my best friend."
 
  "Dude, you're not gonna hug me or some shit are you?  'Cause you know, once you give me a hug, you better mean it."  He tilts his head to the side with his arms wide and a huge smile on his face.
 
  "Fuck off.  I was just saying thanks."  I chuckle.
 
  "Nah, it's ok, dude.  I'm just kidding ya.  Oh, by the way, I wasn't kidding about you jerking off to Levi's picture.  You gotta get a lock on your office door."
 
  Jason takes off running down the hall towards the kitchen after my eyes turn black and Jasper growls, "JASON!!"  I can hear him laughing as he's running.  I know he won't say nothing, but the guy knows how to get under my skin.
 
  An hour later and I'm showered, shaved and dressed in a button down and dark jeans as we are walking into the mall. Ryan kept talking about the toys he was going to buy and how they were used.  Because I had known Scarlet since she was little, I tried my best to tune him out because it was just wrong.  It did give me some ideas for if, i mean when, Levi came back to me.  Once I won her back and marked and mated her, she would be in bed every night.  Writhing under me, making sounds of pleasure that I would be giving her.
 
  Damn, I noticed I was getting turned on, so I told the guys I had to use the bathroom.  They were by the food court and Jason was hungry again, the guy walks a mile and needs a full course meal.  He was going to grab some fries and wait for me. 
 
  I did my business and was washing my hands when I looked at myself in the mirror.  Man, I looked like shit.  I needed Levi back.  It suddenly dawned on me that she was what made my life complete.  I realized that it was her I dreamed of every night.  I realized that I made her stay away from me because I couldn't bare to see the hurt in her eyes when she found out about the union of Tamara and I.  I realized she was mine.  I needed her, I wanted her, shit..I loved her.
 
  With a new found determination and a little strut in my step, I came out of the bathroom and saw Jason chatting with some of the warriors from our pack.  I started to walk over to him, when I smelled it.  Strawberries and lavender.  Levi's scent.  It smelled amazing.  I close my eyes and sniff again.  I realize it's getting closer so I snap my eyes open and look around.  Then I see her, not even 10 feet away from me, emptying her tray into the garbage bin.  "Levi!"  I called her, but a group of people walk in front of me, hiding me from her.  I can see her looking around, so I get around the group of people and walk almost right up to her.  I stay back a few feet because I don't want to scare her.  I softly call her name again, trying so hard not to reach out and grab her, never letting her go.  "Levi".
 
  This time, when she turns around, she sees me.  I'm staring into those big, beautiful blue eyes.  I feel my heart start to pound inside my chest, so loud that I swear it could come right out of my chest and into her hands.  Where it belongs, since she is the owner of my heart.  She always has been, I was just too blind to see it.  Then, the most beautiful sound I've heard reaches my ears.  Her voice, saying my name.
 
  "Damon?"  Her eyes hold shock, anger, but the worst of all, pain.  I see lots of pain.  Pain that I caused.  Pain that I want to take back, pain I want her to never feel again.  Please Moon Goddess, give me her pain.  I'll take it all just so she doesn't have to feel it.  I never want to see pain in her eyes again.
 
  I take a slow step towards her, never looking away from her.  I give a nervous smile and take another step towards her.  She is starting to have to move her head back to look up at my face.  My eyes do a quick scan of her stretched out neck.  That beautiful neck that I can kiss, suck on and leave my mark when we mate.  Claiming her as mine and only mine. 
 
  My eyes go back to hers and she takes a step back but ends up backed into the garbage bin.  Good, she can't run away from me.  "Levi.  I'm sorry.  I'm so sorry.  I fucked up, bad.  I know I did.  But..but, I've been doing some thinking, a lot of thinking actually. I miss you, oh Goddess I miss you."
 
  Levi suddenly puts her hands on her hips and tilts her head to the side.  Oh shit..this is never good when she does this.  It means someone's about to get their ass handed to them and that someone is me.  "Are you fucking serious right now?  Like, really serious, Damon?  Or are you so stuck on your Alpha high horse that you've become delusional?  You miss me?  How can you miss me when you never had me?!  You rejected me, remember that?  Did you forget, Damon?  Need me to remind you of what you did and what you said?  You could have killed me and Claire.  I was so upset, that I crashed my car into a fucking tree. Does that even bother you in the slightest?No.  Don't answer that, because it will just be a lie.  I hate you Damon Jacobs.  Just leave me alone." 
 
  I don't move from where I'm standing but she shoves me and the power I feel coming from her is intense.  She is able to push me so hard that I end up on the floor on my ass about 10 feet away.
 
  'Told you she was special.  Told you it was a mistake'
 
  "Shut up Jasper.  How the hell did she do that?  She felt different.  She felt powerful, like Alpha powerful."
 
  'Give the dumbass his prize.  If you would have listened to me, you would have known that she was not just an omega.  She's not an omega at all.  Her dad was the Alpha Silver Moon and her mom was the Luna.'
 
  "Silver Moon?  Where is Silver Moon?"  I ask Jasper, not recognizing the name.
 
  'Silver Moon was the pack that Levi is from. It wasn't very big and when Levi was here for a visit, the rogues destroyed it.  Killing everyone except for a warrior that showed up and told us what happened.  That's how Levi came to being with her aunt and uncle.  You and Levi became best friends after that.  Until you became an asshole and broke her heart because of that bitch Tamara.'
 
  "Shit, that's right.  How can I forget that?  I remember bringing her some of my candy to share with her because she was crying and mom said it was a nice thing to do.  I remember feeling sad with her. And that stupid union thing was not my idea.  You can thank my dad for that.  I'm glad it's done though.  I never want to see that bitch again."
 
  'That makes 2 of us.  Now that you know she's an Alpha, you can't let her know that you know.  There's a reason why she didn't want anyone to know.  I don't know it, maybe it has something to do with the rogue attack, but that's something you can ask your dad about.'
 
  "Ya, you're right."  I look around and I can't see Levi. 
 
         Suddenly there's a roar and all that's said is "MINE!"
