Rogues!  But these aren't just any rogues, these rogues are bigger, highly skilled, seemingly tamed and destroy their target with such precise technique, one would think they were trained killers.  Not like your usually rogues that are sloppy, need to work together to take down one wolf and since they are rogues, they lose some of their mental stability and thus, their training and even physique suffer greatly.  These rogues, are not rogues..they attack like mercenaries, leaving their pray with only the tears of their mates, unless their mates fall victim as well.

Damon is in amongst the battle, his wolf, Jasper, appeared as soon as the doors burst open and the first growl was heard.  He pushed Levi back and told some of the others on the stage to take her and the other women and children to the shelter.  Before Levi left, she thrust the amulet that Fate had given her for him, into his hands.  "Damon, you must wear it.  Trust me, please.  Wear it!"  Not thinking about it, Damon put it around his neck, then he leapt into the air and shift in the middle of his jump.  Jasper landed on a rogue and took it down in one bite of it's neck.  Leaving the life to seep from it's eyes while the wolf disappeared and the human lay still on the hall floor, surrounded by his own blood.

Levi lead all the woman and children and elderly to the shelter under the hall and when she turned around to check if anyone was behind her, there stood 5 rogues.  The guards that came with her to help where laying at their feet.  "Little miss, we can do this the hard way, or the easy way.", said one of the rogues.  Another chimed in with a smirk, "Either way, you're coming with us.  But I kinda like the hard way, if you get my drift, little wolf."  The others snickered and the looks on their faces became sinister.  One was looking her up and down and reached out his hand to touch her cheek when an elderly man came up and pushed his hand away from her.

"Don't you have any manner young man?  This is our Luna.  You never touch a Luna in such a way.", he growled at the rogue.  The rogues growled back and Levi patted the elderly man's gently and smiled sweetly at him. He, in turn smiled at her with a sparkle of respect and admiration in his blue, aging eyes.  Levi looked behind him and nodded her head at one of the omegas who came and took his arm to lead him back inside the shelter.

Levi then looked at them all and smiled at them.  Some already knew what she was going to do and started shaking their heads, some reaching for her.  A lone tear fell from glassy eyes and the no's and sobs started.  With one last look at everyone, she yelled, "I love you all," and she slammed the door shut, clicking a button that sequenced the Locking mechanism, that locked everyone in their for 24 hours or until someone entered a code and over rode the lock.

Levi turned to the rogues and smiled, "Nothing ever worth doing was ever easy, so bring it one boys". Instantly Claire took over and all that was heard was the sound of growls until there was one final yipe followed by eerie silence.

Meanwhile, in the Great Hall, the battle was still going, the Alphas from all the different packs were fighting along side their Betas and the members of the Black Moon pack.  Even some of the Lunas were fighting.  The howl of a grieving wolf took Damon's attention away from the three rogues he was fighting.  Across the hall, one of the Lunas was howling and shifting back into her human form as the howling became a scream.  Her Alpha, the Alpha of a a neighbouring pack, Crescent Moon, lay still, no movement from his body.  The rogues who took him down, now dismembered by the Beta in his anger.  The body shifts from wolf to human and the Beta takes a suit jacket from the floor into his mouth and gently lays it on top of the body of his Alpha.  He lowers his head in grief and respect and then walks over to the Luna and gently nudges her with his head.  The Luna collapses on top of the wolf of the Beta and he sprints out of the Great Hall doors, taking his crying Luna to safety.

Damon lowers his head, as all Alphas do, including one of the rogues.  A sign of respect.  Then with one growl, the fighting commences, but unfortunately for Damon, he was too engaged in what was happening around him, he was not paying attention to what was happening right in front of him.  A larger than usual rogue charged at him and caught Damon by surprise.  Damon was pinned effortlessly to the blood soaked floor while the rogue that was on top of him, held his shoulders to the floor.  The rogue growled and bared his sharp fangs at Damon, a show of force and true strength of the rogue.  The fangs were dripping of blood of those he destroyed and there was sinister twinkle in his eyes.  He knew that he had Damon right where he needed him, to dominate him, restrain him, kill him.

Damon struggled and growled against the huge beast, but even his Alpha strength was no challenge for the rogue.  Damon started to fear for his life, for the life of his pack, for the life of his Luna.  No!  He couldn't and wouldn't let anything happen to his pack and he vowed to always protect Levi.  With a ferocious growl that came from the deepest part of Jasper's soul, Damon and Jasper worked together and were able to get the beastly rogue off of them.  Just as Jasper was about to charge at the rogue, he felt a sharp pain in his hind leg.  A smaller rogue had latched it's jaws into the flesh of Jasper's leg and was refusing let go.  Jasper let out a howl and turned to snap his jaws at the smaller rogue.  This gave the beast the opening he was waiting for and he grabbed Jasper by the shoulder and threw him against the wall.  The impact was enough to knock the wind out of him and leave him a little disoriented.  Jasper attempted to get up on his paws but he was so dizzy, that he fell onto his side instantly.

The beast was slowly stalking Jasper.  Growling.  He could taste his life on his tongue, already feel the flesh ripping with his fangs, smell the copper scent of his life force draining on his fur, onto the floor, down his own throat.  This made the beast salivate, increased his hunger for the power he would feel taking the life of the Alpha he was told to kill. He was promised rewards that would give him title and power beyond his wildest dreams.  He was promised to be the ultimate werewolf, that he would be able to control the elements of earth, the minds of the wolves and humans a like.  That he would be given the power to turn humans into werewolves.  All he had to do was destroy this Alpha, then all his dreams would come true.

The beast looked over to the one who made all these promises.  The one who controlled this entire battle, the one whom he was hoping would be his Luna and together they would control all the wolves and she would bare him many pups.  She smiled back at him and gave him a nod and a wink.  Feeling he had won both the battle and the heart of the one he loved, the beast turned back to Jasper and started to lower his head towards Jasper's neck, to the spot that never been marked by his Luna, to the spot that would end his life and break the heart of his mate.

The beast's jaws opened, saliva and blood drooled from the extended canines, dripping onto Jasper's fur.  Jasper was trying to keep his eyes focuses, but he was having a hard time.  It was then that he noticed the wolf that bit him was laying still, no mark, no  blood, but no life.  He then realized that the rogue sacrificed himself with putting wolfsbane on his fangs and when the rogue bit him, the wolfsbane was released into his bloodstream.  But why?  Why would a rogue do that?  They are selfish, self serving, not serving to others.  None of this was making sense.

Just as the rogue was inches away from biting Jasper, a huge white wolf leapt through the air and knocked the beast away from Jasper.  The beast and Claire got on the paws quickly and were immediately in fighting stance.  Both growling and snapping at each other.  Then, in a clash of titans, they ran towards each other and all that was seen and heard were growls and snapping and blood and fur.  After minutes of back and forth and biting and growls, one final bite ended the entire battle.  All the wolves stopped fighting and looked to the center of the hall, where Claire and the beast had their own battle.  The only problem was, there was only wolf standing.  Claire was surrounded by blood and her wide eyes looked straight at Jasper.

The silence was then filled with the cries and screams of the wolves as one was louder than the rest,

    "NOOOOOOOOOOO!"
